Have been to the Barcelo Costa 3 times going back in 8 days . great place beach is small but the water is great and the beer flows. staff are friendly never an issue. good all around resort. Try Mr pa pa's downtown beside Brucey the shark @ the mall. enjoy.

Also staying here from March 13th - March 20th... First time but haven't heard no bad reports about the resort... As long as the foods good, rooms are clean, beer flows and a good bunch of people, there'll be no qualms from me... 88 Days & counting

I stayed there a few weeks ago. I was there for 6 days and got an all inclusive package (room, food, drinks) for my wife and I and only paid $399 for the whole trip (I went through some travel agency and had to go to a timeshare presentation at another resort which sucked but we were forced to go in order to get the cheap price). That being said, for the trip being so cheap we could not complain about anything. The hotel is a 3+ star resort at best. It is not a new hotel but the rooms and public areas have been redone and are very clean. Nice restaurant and the food is fresh, plentiful and tasty but what makes the dining experience great is the view overlooking the ocean. Beach is ok as it is next to where people get on and off of the Pirate Cruise ships and other tour companies are there. Location is good and very accessible to the major shopping and entertainment areas by bus or taxi. The new Playboy Club is right next door. Best thing about the resort were the people. Everyone was very friendly and unpretentious and you can tell that they were there to have a good time. Lots of kids there too. For the money that we paid, it was a great vacation.

To the Forum area is a short taxi ride. 7-8 minutes without traffic. Bus will take a little longer since it makes a lot of stops. It is probably too long of a walk to get there.
