Default I need hotel help for my family vacation....

I am a newbie here but not new to forums. You guys have a great forum here... I have already been reading for hours....

I have already booked my airline tickets for me, my wife and our 4 boys (9, 12, 13 and 14)... I am looking for a good place to stay. I have been reading so many reviews that my head is spinning. Me and my wife were at Cancun about 6 years ago so I am sure lots has changed. We stayed at the far South end at the Hyatt Regency.... from what I remember we were happy..... But I have heard that it went down hill. We would like a clean room and a comfortable bed at a big resort. I wanted to do a condo but my wife thinks the kids will like the big resorts better.....

Price is a little issue.... I have to get 2 connecting rooms so at $500.00 per room is a little expensive. I am trying to stay around $200.00 per room or maybe a family suite for $400.00. I dont need all inclusive.
It seems for that price I will get a 4 star hotel.... unless you know of a decnt price for a 5 star or a really good 3 star Hotel...

They have been to Hawaii 4 times but they are in for a treat.... Hawaii does not compare to Cancun....

Thanks for the help.

We decided that having a beach was not important... We dont spend much time at the beach. And I added the comment about price.... Since we have to get 2 rooms unless we find a suite that will allow for 2 adults and 4 kids...

You could stay at one of the Condos around...here is a little info from TJ.

"Ok. Got it. http://www.cancun-mexico-condos.com/ Again, these are beautifully renovated and decorated hotel condo units that will more than meet your expecations of privacy with an A&B type unit.

My daughter and 5 sororitiy sisters came for Spring Break a couple of years ago and we rented the Penthouse for them. They thought they had died and gone to heaven.

Many friends of mine own their units and rent them out when they are not in Cancun and many friends come to Cancun on a regular basis who stay there and love it.

The Salvia has a great pool and is typically not running wide open since owners are not always there.

Check out the website. "

You can private message TJ for more info. That could be a real option for you, as they are right there walking distance to a lot.
