Default Hyatt Cancun Caribe

HYATT CANCUN CARIBE

We stayed at the Hyatt in January 2003.
All the rooms at the Hyatt are oceanview.
We had a beautiful room.

Very clean room, big fluffy towels, turn down service in the evening, and a mini bar.

The Hyatt has peacocks walking around the property.
The food at the Hyatt is very good.
The wonderful Blue Bayou restaurant is in the Hyatt, excellent food!

The hotel is small, quiet, and upscale with first class service and very good food.
It's on a beautiful stretch of beach.

Even thought the hotel is older than most in the Hotel Zone,
I would recommend the Hyatt Caribe.

Stayed at Hyatt Caribe on June 21-28. Hotel is very nice especially the pool. Also the view from your hotel balcony is spectacular, all rooms are ocean view. The bad things about the Hyatt: Hard beds, some hotel workers are very rude, restaurant is expensive and not all that great, cannot bring food into hotel. Make sure that you bring a backpack with you so that you can hide your food and drinks before you go into the hotel. We learned the hard way, we bought about $120 worth of alcohol, water, and food from walmart and they would not let us bring it into our hotel room. They kept it at a storage room until we left the hotel. So make sure they don't see you with any grocery. 1 Liter of water can cost you $6 at their cafe so you definitely would want to go grocery shopping. Other than that, the hotel was nice, although I probably won't stay there again because security is very strict. I give the hotel 2 out of 4 stars.

We stayed there as well and it was real nice and all but the food all seems to get to you after awhile and you can"t bring any food from walmart or anywhere back to the room so hey can charge you a arm and a leg for their food or any of the food places in the hotel zone ..You need to take a bus to walmart with a backpack as someone else suggested and not pay yhe high prices in the hotel or anywhere in the hotel zones...

Default Hyatt Cancun Caribe Hotel Staff/food/etc.

Hello, we have stayed at the Hyatt Cancun Caribe every year for the past seven years, absolutely love the place, the staff is as good/friendly, (maybe better), as any other place we have ever stayed. And that includes places like Hacendia Vista Real in Playa, Las Brisas in Xtapa, The Venetian in Vegas, etc. Yes, the hotel food is expensive, but we prefer to go out and eat at local places, with the locals (if we are lucky) in downtown, so except for drinks/snacks/burgers/tacos when we hang out on the hotel beach it works for us.

No one has reported doing so yet, but purportedly one of their restaurants are open so the rest of it must be operational.

Default January 12 - 17th!

First time at Cancun. My girlfriends dad runs a Hyatt in NYC and got us in the hotel at a very, very good price.

First time to Cancun. Very nervous about dealing with the timeshare people and what not!

Ahh!
