Default Balconies?

Really, Wow, that would be great to have the jacuzzi and balcony too! How can we validate this info?

Thanks so much

Default Confirming balcony info

We read on a trip advisor board (www.tripadvisor.com)that someone had received an e-mail from GCPS confirming they were putting balconies on the sixth floor rooms. Go to trip advisor, click on cancun, cancun forums, and then search that forum under the hotel name...the e-mail is posted there ...hope this helps!! We are going in April and hope the beach is restored by then.

Well this hotel had a huge and NICE beach to start with ..So i am sure they should be ok. Maybe losing some footage...Unlike some other hotels which didn't have great beaches to begin with..

Just found this note on another website re a change of name for the GCPS

Hola Veronica,
I am curious about the name change. Has the hotel sold to a new owner? I have heard that the hotel will no longer be affiliated with Crown Paradise Club. Will it be affiliated with any other hotels? When is the change projected to occur? The Name GCPS sure has a big loyal following, but much of the loyalty is centered in the tasteful, Adults Only, format. Will the resort still be Adults Only?
Answer:
Hello Sandy:
This happened about 6 months ago and it is really a family matter, the father kept the Golden Crown and the “kids” the Crown paradise Club. The father is building another hotel next to the Hilton which will open Fall 2006, the name will be Great Parnassus (all inclusive 5 star for families and adults) and by now we are starting to launch the changing on the name of the Golden Crown Paradise spa to Golden Parnassus (all inclusive 5 star adults only).
The Golden and the Crown are not affiliated any more, for the moment we are continuing to offer the exchange privileges until we have the new hotel.
That is more or less how the story goes.

Default Honeymoon

Hi all,

I had booked Blue Bay Getaway for my honeymoon in Aug but recently changed it to Golden Crown Paradise. Was this the right think to do? the hotel looks lovely and from the reviews everybody seems pleased with it.

Lisa100..........we were at GCPS in Oct just before Wilma hit. We loved it!!! If you go to tripadvisor.com you can read several reviews about the hotel. pre/post Wilma. If you have any questions about GCPS you should have them all answered between the reviews on this site and the tripadvisor site. Good luck to you.

Default GCPS

Does anyone know the state of the beach in front of GCPS. I saw a video about a month ago and it didn't look good but have heard that the beaches are coming back slowly.

Default Great pics

Thanks GCPSgirl. Those were great pics and sounds like you had a great trip. You have revived my excitment for the trip. I'll send you photos when we get home in January. My wife doesn't even know that she is going yet. It will be a Christmas morning surprise. We leave the morning of the 26th. It's so hard keeping this from her. How can you tell - all I do is tell everyone else. Ha Ha

Chao,

Default GCPS Questions please!

A couple of questions please!!

Is the Pier 12 restaurant under the Paradise Buffet?

Where is the beer garden?

Does anyone have a detailed map of the hotel? (Loaded online?)

We often study the heck out of a place before we go...don't want to lose a second with directions! I know the resort is small, but we want to hit the ground "relaxing" !!!

Thanks in advance,

Cancunnewf

Cancunnewf............the beer garden is just inside the main entrance to the right. the pier 12 restaurant is outside the hotel overlooking the beach and next to the tiki bar and swimming pool area. There is a snack bar under the paradise breakfast buffet restaurant.

HI all! This is my first time to Mexico and my husband has only visited the Northern part when he lived in Texas. I am soo excited and staying at the GCP! We will be there the week of February 19th. I have been monitoring all the websites to see what was going on, what to pack and where to go. I am so confused but I will sort it all out soon!

Default golden crown paradise spa adults only ai

Hi everyone,
To all you lucky ducks who are ready to go, we were there for a way too short trip last week, we got home on Wednesday. This was our third trip there and you could not even tell the hotel was ever damaged. Plus, by the time you guys get there, there will be a new restaurant the Japanese.

The staff are absolutely awesome, be sure to leave a tip here and there and they will treat you like royalty. Anyone who is going soon, please say Hola to Fonzie, Jose and Carlos from Roberto y Catalina from St. Louis. I can't wait to go back. Any questions? I am crying from missing that place.

I was getting ready to book at stay at the golden crown spa, and then our travel agent finally called back. he suggested we not go to cancun because there is no beach, and to go to Puerto Vallarta instead.

we like cancun because of the night life, and all the stuff to do. does anyone know if we will have the same with Puerto Vallarta?

thanks!
