Sorry, but I have no idea how to do the dvd thing. Maybe the photo center at a store could help. I know they have the Kodak thing at CVS that deals with dvd's and all and you can make posters from photos. Would not hurt to ask.

Have you gotten settled back home? Ibet the babies were glad to get back and have you home too.

Those were great. When you went to Isla with The Palace were you able to tour the island for a little while alone, or did you have to stay with the group? How many hours were you there?

I read the negative report from PA on Trip Advisor and it is a scarey report for sure. But hearing from you and seeing the photos you took melt that fear away.

I BOOKED MY DAYTRIP TO ISLA THRU AQUAWORLD NOT THE PALACE AS SOME CAN DO. WE LEFT AT 9AM AND RETURNED AT 5PM. ONCE WE GOT TO THE ISLAND, WE WERE ABLE TO RENT A GOLF CART FOR ABOUT 1 1/2 HRS TO SITE-SEE FOR OURSELVES. THEN WE ATE LUNCH (BUFFET) AND PLAYED SOME WATER VOLLEYBALL UNTIL AROUND 2. THEN THEY TOOK US BY BOAT TO DOWNTOWN TO DO SOME SHOPPING AND MORE SITE-SEEING. WE HAD TO LEAVE AROUND 4-4:15 TO GET BACK.

I'LL TRY TO GET THE OTHER PICS POSTED ON WEDNESDAY.

AS FAR AS THE TRIP REPORTS, I'LL DO MY BEST TO ACCOMEDATE (SP?). ASAP.

GLAD EVERYONE ENJOYED THE PICS THO. I'M NOT THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER BUT I WAS HAPPY WITH THE WAY THEY TURNED OUT.

Jan, I will do my best. I don't own a lap top but, ladykatsfan said that they have computers that guests can use for e-mail. I will try and get on those. I don't think I can go 8 days without checking my e-mails and I'll let you all know what I think!

We arrive at 12:35pm. Have you heard anyone report RECENTLY on the Cancun airport -- changing buildings due to construction or really long waiting lines when they arrived? We will have a little one with us.

Hopefully we will be at CP by 2:00pm. Maybe, you can let us know what to expect on the time that it took you to get to the hotel.

I hope that we can meet too. My packing starts this weekend!

Hello everyone, we returned from the Cancun Palace on Thursday April 5th. I am in the process of getting all pictures on photobucket for everyone to see. However, here is my report on the "New" cancun Palace.

We have stayed at many of the Palace Resorts and know all about their excellent service and resorts. So this is an honest review.

First of all the resort is fantastic amd much better than the old resort. However, in my opinion the pool area and grounds need more plam trees and foilage to give the resort a more tropical look and feel.

The Rooms are great and we stayed in room 516 with an ocean view and had no problems with our room. However, we did speak with others who were having issues with their rooms. But, overall the rooms are much better than before.

The restaurants are fantanstic and can honestly state we did not have one bad meal. The service was a little slow in 2 restaurants however, it appeared there were training new employees. The Mexican and oriental were my favorite. Room service was fast and on the ball everytime we used them.

The pool area is great with the infinity look however, I agree with previous reports that it needed to be cleaned more and it did not appear to have enough circulation of the water and the water did not flow over the edge as it should. But, the pool bars and beach bar are great. If you travel there look for Juan at the right pool bar facing the beach. he no doubt is the best barternder there.

Overall, the resort is great with a few minor adjustments needed but, we had a great time as always and enjoyed the resort and all of it's amenities. If you are traveling with no chldren I recommend you visit the Sun Palace which is now all couples adults only - another great Palace Resort.

Sounds like they are doing their best to get it up to par. Maybe with enough complaints on the pool, they will do something about getting it to circulate better.

Could be that the fountains that are supposed to be going in the smaller pool have something to do with the water running over the edge.

May have to go to the Moon Palace and swim a couple of days while we are there.

What about the water park that Palace had said they bought. Anyone go there?

Yes, there were children running around as this was spring break however, it was not overwhelming and the kids have their own wadling pool. Only the older kids were in the pool area.

At night there are shows and music in the main lobby bar area however, the band needs to learn a wider election of songs however, it was fun.

Your questions - regarding the gym. When we were there the gym was still closed however, they did have some equipment in a room being used as a gym but, the actual gym should be opening shortly.

Overall, the Cancun Palace is a place I will recommend!!

Sheri, yes the pools need a little work. Yes, water world as it is called is open and usable. If you have the tours included in your package all you have to do is reserve through Chaza travel.

We went their before and it worth a few hours - they have a couple good slides.

Free yes I agree about TripAdvisor however, it is very subjective. Our stay was great with only a few comunication problems but, nothing more than that. Not to say there are problems but, they are being worked on.

Yes, we did go by the Beach Palace and there is no way it will be ready for the opening in June. The structure is up yet, they have quite a way to go.

Cruella: My husband and I are members at Palace Resorts. The sales pitch or tour is worth it, even if you don't buy a membership. Just for going to the tour they give you spa cash to spend at their spa and also Palace cash that you can use to shop in their gift shops. Last time we were there they gave us $100.00 Palace Cash and that is what we bought gifts with each time we have gone. We have been memebers since 2002 and are glad we bought the membership.

The tour is only 1 1/2 hours out of your trip but you do get rewards for it.

Day after tomorrow I will be at Cancun Palace!!!!!! :lotsofmichaelf: :bounce2: :michaelf: :bigband: :usaface:
