It's in the region of $40 (USD) per person, if it's not already included in the cost of your ticket... which is usually the case for Brits.

For us it has been included (for the last 3 years) in the cost of the airline ticket - ne vous inquiétez pas

Presumably, it's detailed in the small print somewhere. Or a phone call to Thomsons should determine it one way or another. It's safe to say if it's a UK operator chances are it isn't included in your ticket although there are sometimes exceptions. If payable it's collected when you check in for your return flight. Any Brits returned recently who can chime in?

Last time we came home from Cancun, you had to Que at a separate desk to pay the departure tax. Then take the receipt that they give you and hand it in at the the check-in desk. Think it was around 40 Dollars at the time and if memory serves me right, it worked out cheaper to pay in Peso's Thomson's and Thomas Cook don't include the departure tax in the package price. BTW Steve how's it going, long time not talk. Do you think you'll go up this year.
