In our 40s - Cancun newbs

We are a married couple in our 40s headed to Cancun for the first time. Looking for places that might play 80s music or cater to an older crowd.
Drink, other couples and fun sought. Will be in town 2-24/3-1

Carlos N Charlies always has plenty of 80's music, Basic has an 80's night (not sure which night these days, used to be Saturdays). Coco Bongo is pretty mixed in terms of music with plenty of older stuff.

I'm not sure anywhere 'caters' to an older crowd, but there isnt that stigma about older people going to clubs meant for younger ones that you may be used to at home.

My Dad is 65 and went to all the clubs and had a good time. But Coco Bongo plays everything from Elvis to 50 Cent

You may want to try Pancho and Willy's. They play mostly 70's and 80's.

Don't flash your IDs and no one will know the difference or care. You can bar hop all night long and have fun. But Carlos and Charlies gets my vote.

I think Elvis and 50 Cent do a duet at Coco Bongo though. Jaja. NOTTTTTT
