Default danger?

is there alot of cops/security in cancun right now?
been seeing some bad stuff on the news about acapulco (which i know is probably 600 miles from cancun).

Nothing to worry about our 10 days were fine. We like to get off the beaten path and were probably in some areas no other tourists would go and we didnt have any problems at all.

Here is a pic (I just had to share) I took while on one of our downtown ventures. This painter was nuts. This was in Market 23, just a few blocks off Tulum.

At least he has a rope tied to the top of the building so he can pull it down on himself as he falls and cover himself up.

OMG! this looks like something my husband does! I swear I have a picture of pretty close to the same thing while he was working on our chimney last summer.
