Tried Playa; back to Cancun

All: After almost 20 yrs thought we would mix it up an try Playa. We are Palace members but opted to go to the RIU Yucatan for the price.
Dissapointed to say the least. Downtown Playa is how I remember Cancun years ago. Which was great. Love the beach bars!
The resort; I wanted my Cancun Palace!
Just my opinion, not to dig the resort at all. Just missed an oceanfront resort. Did not like the jungle like I thought we would. Many bug bites; or maybe not enough tequillia!
The water for 4/7 days was very murky....maybe because of the beach restoration??
350 days; Cancun Palace again...unless we win the lottery

That's interesting. Seeing so many people saying they are giving up on Canun for Playa recently it's good to see it the other way round sometimes.
