So far, the forecast for our trip is calling for rain everyday.. the precipitation keeps changing from 30% to %60, and changing from rain to scattered storms.. should I be worrieD?

My forecaster on my fb has said rain every single day and I think MAYBE it rained once or twice in two weeks. It is so Hot and Humid this time of year and you should anticipate a rain shower. Percents don't mean it will rain 40% to 60% of the day. And 90% of the time all forecasts are wrong anyway.
Don't worry!!!!

Ditto to Tori's comments.

Every day could be a beach day. Well, maybe 1 or 2 in the last month were not so great.

Don't sweat it. Life is good.

I'm flying in tomorrow....not worried about the weather...it'll be just like home, here in New England....chance of showers anytime....and as we say here, "if you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes".

I never check the forecast, I figure I'm going either way and making the best of it...and well this IS rainy season so i booked full well knowing this.. That said, if it does rain, it will only be for a little bit and then it gets sunny...lots of things to do besides getting a tan at TTR and cancun in general!

Even in Philadelphia, in the summer it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo HOT and HUMID that a thunderstorm everyday is expected. They may last no more then 30 min, and then it's sunny again. Like someone else posted, it's rainy season here, and they were well aware of that when they booked.
When I would vacation here it was ALWAYS in October, Hurricane Season. Never once did a Hurricane hit while I was here, but it did rain.... and often. But I never let it dampen my time.

Arriving on June 26th and weather forecasts look bleak for those days as well. Hopefully that means passing showers and back to sun...

I wish it WOULD rain.. my car is filthy.. I think it rained one night last week for about 5 minutes.... if it's rained any more since then it was too brief and I missed it... I'm gonna go out and do my rain dance now....

I think the reason all of the weather sites constantly predict rain is because they don't have any data to calculate other than temp and humidity... so since we're generally warm and right by the ocean their all knowing computers say rain everyday... weatherunderground.com seems to be better than most for some reason but even they predict too much rain... perhaps it rains SOMEWHERE within the general area everyday for 30 seconds.. but really it seems like we'll get several solid weeks of rain two or three times a year and the rest of the time its just super-quick showers that won't even wash the dirt off of the car.

Thank you for the words of encouragement! Lol I don't mind the showers. Just not a solid week of rain, please!

Even in a hurricane, it doesn't rain for a solid week. You are going to worry yourself sick if you keep thinking about it.

Yeah, it rained once in the last two weeks. I came out of my apt and was surprised to see some water on the streets..., so I figured it must have rained (sun was shining).

I suppose this is the tropical rainy season in which a hard rain can come, last a short time, and create puddles, everywhere. This just adds to the feeling of being in the tropics....

Enjoy it, for the break it provides to the unremitting summer sun!

I agree, I remember last time I was there, I wanted it to rain just for a few minutes to cool down a bit.

Well we got back last week and it was "supposed" to rain every day 60% chance...and like we figured, it rained only once in our 6 days and just for a little bit...it was boiling sunny hot the rest of the time!

The forcasts out here never seem to be right from what I have seen.

Edit just to add we don't even bother checking them at work anymore.

Thanks a lot Life. I hope your car is clean now. It rained all weekend, 3 straight days, but TS Alex has left the area and we only had a few drops today. I put sunscreen on my bald head even.
