| Yeah, pesos would make sense since that IS the National currency. |

| It depends on what airline you are flying..some include it in your ticket, some don't. |

| There has always been a departure tax but it is normally included in the price of your airline ticket. Friends were here recently from NY but the guy was staying a few extra days on business. His tax was paid with his ticket but hers was not. Sorry but I can't say how this happens but my thought is that if you buy a Jet Blue ticket from Jet Blue, for example, it's paid that way. And I would think that the major Expedia type travel sites are the same way. Other than that, all bets are off. Check with whoever your ticket was booked through. 99% chance you will be fine.

Those who fly to the UK have to pay a departure tax. Those who fly to Canada and the US have that included in their tickets. And departure tax is payable in US dollars not pesos and in cash only. And no discounts no matter what. | |

| I think that's about to change, at least that's the advice UK travel agents are currently giving out. More a case of "we dont want to deal with Dollars" than them not being acceptable. I've also paid departure tax in the past in Pesos, I try to avoid Dollars as far as I can. |
