| "El cejas" at Mercado 28 downtowon, very rustic but very good or at the hotel zone Mocambo, in front of Plaza Caracol; ocean front.

| There are literally hundreds of restaurants in Cancun to choose from. However finding "inexpensive" seafood can be a bit challenging for sure. While El Cejas in Centro (Downtown) Cancun is a good call, I recommend you consider two places in the Hotel Zone, El Fish Fritanga and Splash. Both are quite good, but do keep in mind that they are not indoor restaurants. An indoor restaurant in Centro to try is Q Fish, owned and operated by the same folks who run El Fish Fritanga. If you want to keep it in the Hotel Zone, and want something a little more upscale, but still in a moderate price range, J.C. Capitan, Captain's Cove and Mocambo should remain on your list. Another place that is more geared toward "Americanized" tastes is The Surfin Burrito, located across from Seņor Frog's. If you can stretch your budget, you should certainly consider going to La Habichuela Sunset. While it is definitely very upscale, the food is excellent! 212eric - (Author)

| We found a spot downtown just past the Bus Station going away from the HZ about one block from Tulum. So if your walking on Tulum, one block past the bus station, on the same side as the bus station take a left at the little liqour store on the corner and its one block as you head towards Uxamal Ave. I dont know the name and they have the menu on a board just outside the door. We had a big shrimp dinner for around 8.00 USD. Not a lot of English spoken, but there was a young gal there that could speak english good. < heheh |

| A great cheap fast food type seafood place is called Los de Pescados. The specialize in Fish tacos, shrimp tacos and ceviche. A little less then $2usd for a fish taco. They are right across the street from the Intercontinental Presidente hotel. There are a few other locations in Downtown. The one on Tulum is packed everyday at lunch time. Los de pescado |
