|  Isla Mujeres Hi First of all I just want to say that this forum has been a wealth of information for me as I plan our Cancun holiday. I have especially appreciated CancunCanucks posts as they are very informative and useful. This will be my 6th time to Mexico but my first time to Cancun. We are planning to spend a day on Isla Mujeres but I'm not sure if we should book a tour or just explore the island on our own. Any thoughts would be appreciated. We are coming from Canada and we cant wait to get there as this winter has been extra harsh.  Thanks, Timbeau |

| Easy answer as far as I am concerned. Go on your own, rent a golf cart (they are pretty much all 4 seaters) and go where and when you want. I am happy to provide my preference for getting there, where I rent the golf cart, where to eat, where to sun and what to do. There are many options and you will probably think that one day is not enough. A Private Message may be in order but my answer would be lengthy. Maybe others will suggest their recommendations and you can sort them out and decide.

| it is a must. there is a lot to see. take your time & ride around on the golf cart & then walk the street. |

| yes yes yes!! I agree! When I was in Cancun last time, we did the booze cruise tour, which was fun in its own, but it only gave us like 2 hrs on the island, which wasn't enough time! We did rent a golf cart for about 1 hour, and that was just a tease as we saw all the things that we didn't have the time to stop at! This time, we are totally just going to go on our own and explore it on our own! We can't wait to stop and eat/drink at every place that we see along the way!!! It sounds like a great day trip to take!
