'un mil peso' note

my brother gave me a 1000 peso note that has a date on it of 1985. is this worth a 1000 pesos or is it a conversation piece due to monetary revaluing in the 90's.

In 1993, the peso was devalued due to inflation. 1 New Peso became the equivalent of $1000 of the old ones. So, just a conversation piece or of value to collectors I'm afraid.

There is a current 1000 Peso note in circulation but they are fairly rare.
