|  Gay couple - 2 weeks in July Hi all Great site, and I'm really pleased I found this forum! We are a 'young' 38 year-old pair of gay guys (me: Kev, other half: Daz) who live in Manchester UK, and we are looking to come to Cancun/Riviera Maya for the first time. Our budget isn't unlimited (whose is?) but we can stretch to the likes of the Gran Melia, Crown Paradise, Excellence Riviera, Riu Palace - that sort of thing. Will cost around £1800 GBP each incl flights and transfers for the 2 weeks. We want to be pampered - and I need a serious relaxation break - work has meant I haven't been able to have a proper holiday at home or abroad for 2 and half years! Want a bit of luxury and an on-site spa that's for sure. However we also like to party! We love meeting people and having a great laugh - doesn't have to be other gay people whatsoever! We've looked at lots of reviews of Temptations and really like the atmosphere - just not sure if it will fit the luxury bill for us.... It comes in at only £1,100 or so each incl flights and transfers. Any advice for us on 'next-best' maybe more upmarket we could look at? We don't want to end up somewhere really stuffy or full of 60+ year-olds! Many thanks in advance. |

| Maybe you should check out the ME by Melia. Very nice, and also more upscale hotel with a tend to the mid-age crowd. ME by Meliá Hotels and Resorts | Luxury Resort Hotels Cheers Nico |

| Then i would personally choose the RIU Palace. This is very posh and upscale. Like a classic Grand Hotel. And dont forget you can go everytime to the neighborhood resort the RIU Cancun (And use all restaurants/facilities). So if you dont like your crowd at the Palace, just walk a few meters over to the other RIU :-D |
