Topless resorts in the Mayan

Alot of the posts are either TTR or Golden. We are planning to go to Mexico, probably the Mayan in early 2012. Any resorts in the area that allow topless bathing? My wife did it in Club Med in Cancun, so I am hoping to take her to one in the area that allows it.

As far as I know Desire is the only other place. There could be more down towards Tulum that I have not heard about. And just keep in mind that no resort owns their beach, so you can go topless on any beach in Mexico...it's just at the pools where the rules apply.

There are more Euro gals down in Playa so toplessness is more common. In my experience Cancun topless rate maybe 5% while Playa is 20-25%. A lot are not the ones you want to see though.

Aww c'mon! I see that phrase so often (usually on trip advisor rather than here) and it's not really nice.

That is not true. The Royal is one off the top of my head in PDC that does NOT allow topless at the resort. Security will tell you to put your top on or to head to the beach.

We just got back from Playa......15-20% topless at the beach in front of the Riu's, Sandos, etc.....it was 90% european at our resort. Very comfortable to go topless there, even though its not adults only.

That is at the beach. It isn't owned by the hotels. I go to all the hotels beaches in Cancun, I just can't use the chairs of facilities. Being topless at a Resort (pool side) vs the beach are two different things. All the resorts I have ever been to or know of, besides TTR, Desire and GP, none allow topless at the pools.

Thank you for your comment Steve..I enjoy going topless and I could care less who does or does not look at me....we enjoy TTR (cancun) and the RIUs in PDC and I have always gone topless at both the pool and the beaches...in fact...when we have been there..very few women actually had their tops on...and I am pretty sure no one cared one way or another....

That's not true. There are laws against it in many parts of Mexico.
