|  Hurricanes in july? Any1 staying at the rui? Hey me and my boyfriend are flying to cancun on monday. Im so excited bt the weather reviews are awful. I can deal with the odd shower but hate the thory of any really bad weather. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if they no if any hurricanes or bad storms are expected? Is there a big chance a tropical storm would hit in july? Also is any1 else on here stayin in the riu cancun while wer there? Xxx |

| Don't wig out about the weather - I've been 4X in July - it rains on the land, not on the beach, genererally. Pretty much every day, thunderstorms will blow up a few miles inland - worst that happens at the beach is a bit of rain, or even a solid downpour but it rarely will wash out the day. Function of the tropical climate and sunshine over the land. And yes, tropical storms CAN happen but the prime time for them is 9/1 - 10/15.
