Question Sea lice levels?

Ariba Ariba - Hi all just joined and leaving on the 27th July for 2 weeks in sunny Cancun we will be staying at the Grand Caribe Real resort. But what I was interested to know is.

Are the sea lice active right now as we will have to get a suncream with protection if this is indeed the case - any replies will be truly grateful

Thanks Gang.....................

It's probably too late in the year now to worry too much, although it is still possible they'll be about. I didn't hear much about them this year at all.

You might find the following site of mine helpful.

Thanks Steve that's encouraging to know, I guess if there is too much to worry about then we'll pick up a vibe from the Hotel guests or maybe even the rep on the transfer bus will mention it, we have a 14 year old with us so I just wanted to check it out.

Thanks again..

When leaving the ocean, stop by the showers half way up the stairs at the GCR. A good rinse will wash the buggers off. And make sure to rinse in the crotch area (without getting too x rated). That is where they like to hang out.

Just retured from Dreams on the 18th and there was no sea lice at all. Gran Caribe isnt too far down the beach.

Thanks everyone, just like to say this forum is great for finding out what you "really" need to know about the place, that travel literature don't tell you..

Thanks again..
