|  Which hotel has fewest british crowd? NOT hateful towards brit folks, but I have stayed at Temptations for 3 times and all 3 times there were brit sausages in group of 10 to 15. It almost felt like sausage fest.  This time we are staying at GrandOasis, I am hoping that it will have least amount of brit sausages and more spanish people in there. Anyone been there before? |

[QUOTE] Well that is the first time we have heard of us Brits being called "Brit Sausages", nice to know us Brits are thought of in that way!  We have been to Temptations twice and there was hardly any of us Brit sausages there. We were over run with fun, outrageous Americans and Canadians and I am proud to say we have made friends for life. Shame a few idiots ruin our name. But hey I am proud to be British and find it very funny that we are called "Brit Sausages" Yummm we must taste great as there is a lot of sausages that taste really nice :-) Enjoy your vacation with people from all walks of life, whether they are Brits, Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, as we sure do :-) A vacation is what you make of it after all! Caz

| Up til recently, I was at Temp 4 days a week, now just 1; but in the last year it seems that British tour Companies are selling the hotel to the guys cause it's a "crazy place". I think it was last week, but there was three large groups of all British guys. All the hotels I go have Brits in them. Not the best way to pick a resort. |

In that respect I would agree with them too. At TTR last May there was a large group of guys (not sure what nationality and doesn’t matter anyways), was there issues? Yes a few and one to many. It made us and a few other couples, singles and groups uncomfortable and that was pretty evident. I think TTR is a great place and most if not all love it, hence the people that have come back for their 15+ visit – that says a lot right there. | |

| A person who posts a subject line with " which hotel has fewest British crowds" should not be tolerated and needs to be told that statement alone is rude and offensive! You right regardless of the "British" statement its unfair. |

| I seriously think this thread has been taking WAAAAAY out of what the op was asking. I live here in Cancun, I go to Temp, I go to a few other hotels each week, and it was NOT an intolerant, racist or any other type of bigot question. It is a FACT that the British Tour Co are selling Temptations as something that a large group of single boys would love. And it is also FACT that Temptations in the last year has gotten some slack when it comes to this large male crowds. Just read the TTR forum. If I was a guy, I'd ask the same thing this guy did. I wouldn't want to vacation at a hotel full of chicks. Nowadays it seems people are being too over sensitive. I keep reading the first post and I still can't pick out what is offensive or rude. Then again, not sure we need to get into a USA chant either. Can't we all just get along!!!! |

| Hate to say but Thongqueen is not an on line blogger with 78 posts. Desi with 43 post neither are you but you seem to have an attitude issue if someone calls you out you become somewhat highly offensive to me as an American and seem to be at the same time highly bigoted. If you cannot live with Brits or Canadians on your vacation stay home. I hope that when you stay at Grand Oasis it will be flodded with Brits and Canadians just to make your life miserable. (for the rest of you sorry about this but this is what I call an offensive poster. ThongQueen you were correct in your first assumption about him) |

Have fun at the Grand Oasis - at this time of year you'll be lucky to meet anyone there regardless of nationality. Maybe 20% occupancy. And everyone knows that sausages are bigger than wieners  |

| I think that this conversation has been taken out of context. Anyone that was at TTR in March early April time frame knows what the poster was referring to. We were at TTR in mid March and saw how the crowd was leaning toward more international (ie British young guys). The majority of them were respectful and polite although a few became drunk and loud but have we not all been there before. In speaking with a few of them throught our stay, there are tarvel agents that are selling TTR on the feature of being a large swinger resort of couples that are looking for single guys for sexual adventures. These same gentlemen were respectful and polite and never experienced any problem. Later on in March there was a large group of young brits on a bachelor party trip that were not so gentlemenly and treated every lady in the resort with disrespect, to the point of one woman was knocked over a bar and ribs broken. Due to this, security was tighten to the point of no sexually charged activities. I saw Chinos, stepping in on one group of guys and threatened to throw them out of the resort. One of the reasons why he will be missed. I can see where the poster was coming from but it may not have been the best way to approach the issue. We have been to TTR 5 times and never had a problem with any Brits, young or old and have infact make some great British friends from trips past! All has to do with expectations and preconceived ideas, after all isn't that what TTR is all about? Nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit!!!

| The issue might well have happened (I recall it did, I was the one what started the thread I think). But there's more sensitive ways of raising it on a forum frequented by people of many nationalities, some of whom were obviously offended. For the main part I ignored his comments for over a month, but when insults and threats start (telling a woman to "come and say it to my face", and his latest comments which are no longer there) he shows he's no better than the people he's trying to avoid and can go find another place to play. |
