Default Flowers

Hi all.. its been a long while since I have been on here.. been to Cancun so much (averaging 3 times per year) that it seems like I was too busy being there and no time to be on the forum.

But.. here is my dilemma, just got married... coming to Cancun, of course, and going to do a Trash the Dress photo session. Where can I go to get flowers.. is there a florist or somewhere that sells flowers that I can just walk into and buy individual flowers and throw my own bouquet together? The resort wants in excess of $100 for a wedding bouquet and that seems senseless to me to pay that much for flowers used a few times just for pictures..

any thoughts?

Wal-mart had some nice flowers at the entrance by the bakery. Roses and also mixed bunches that would probably work for you. Prices were good too!

There are several places convenient to the R-2 but when you get downtown. One is on Coba, which is what Kukulcan Blvd is called downtown. The one I use is called Latin Asia Flores. Their phone is 884-5980. If you are taking the R-2 bus, get off just after the 4th downtown traffic light (Av Yaxchilan). This is BEFORE the Walmart stop, which is just after the next light. If you are at Yaxchilan and Coba, keep on Coba and it is on the right in the 3rd Block. The owner is Japanese and her name translates to Cherry Blossom and she answers to that name. There is a young guy, a bit heavy who is usually behind the counter. His name escapes me. Both of them speak conversational English.

If that does not work, head back toward Yaxchilan for Option 2. Go left onto Yaxchilan and it is on the left at the 2nd corner.

Option 3, back to Yaxchilan again, cross it to the left (you will be walking on Coba now) and it is on your left in the first block, just past what is or was a Blockbuster.

Hope this helps. Sorry I don't know the names of either one of these places but I have made at least one purchase from each of them over the years. But the Asian place is my go to florist now.
