Default Family friendly activities and tours

Can someone recommend family friendly activities and tours? I was thinking of doing Chichenitza, xelha and the pirate cruise.

Xel Ha and the Pirate cruise are definitely family friendly.

Not so sure about Chichen Itza, depends how old the kids are as it's a long drive (3+ hrs each way) and there is quite a bit of walking to do once there.

You might also want to consider Xel Ha and Xplor.

All the above place names will link through to relevant sections of the web site where you can read more on each option and book online if you like.

Default Ideas?

I would also appreciate some family friendly tours suggestions. Me and my husband are considering going on a small journey, but have not specific idea where exactly yet.

Ages of kids would help

Just outside of Cancun there's the Crococun zoo. It looks like a cheesy tourist trap from the outside, but inside is really nice--monkeys, snakes, lizards, and crocodiles that you can hold. We had a great time there when the kids were 7 and 10, and I think teenagers would like it, too.

Kids would also really like Xplor, about a half hour out of Cancun. They have ziplines, ATVs, and rafts you can ride in the underground rivers.

Is there a link to the pirate cruise? I think there are at least two. I found a Captain Hook cruise & "Pirate Assault"

I'll be in Cancun in Jan with my mom (63), sister (24), and daughter (2). Which cruise (if any) would be right for us, do you think? Any other suggestions are welcome as well. Thanks!

Update: Just discovered that Pirate Assault starts at 6:30 and is 4 hours long... so I don't think that's going to work as the LAST thing I want is my daughter melting down on a boat, heh.

What about daytime cruises? Like, to see wild dolphins or something like that.

Captain Hook is definitely better than Pirate Assault, but also starts at 6:30pm and lasts 4 hours. We have taken our daughter when she was 2 but it is a bit late for them.

Here's a link:
Captain Hook Cancun Pirate Ship Dinner Cruise

Day time cruises you could try the Isla Mujeres Catamaran:
Isla Mujeres Cruise Tour by Catamaran, Cancun Mexico

but the boats are not huge and can be a little bumpy depending on conditions, this is more suitable for older kids I would say.

Yeah, I'm thinking the cruising isn't going to happen

Well, all the more reason to come back some day!
