|  Drinking on the street ?? Ok the guys from playa info are saying that you can't walk on fifth anymore with a beer... The cops stop you and tell you to pour it out or you will receive a fine. We have always done this and I realize that they were just allowing it. Is it now the same way in cancun ? Thanks |

| Public drinking is illegal here in Cancun as well. I see people doing it daily, so I guess its up to each and everyone to take the risk. In almost 5 years living here, Ive never had an issue, but that might just be luck. |

| Drinking in the street IS illegal in Cancun (my husband got taken to jail overnight for that once haha), although in the Hotel Zone it's usually overlooked. |
