Default 7 nights of bars / clubs....

Just wondering if anyone can give input on where the best nights to go where are. Not just big clubs, but smaller places too would be helpful.

(I'm there jan 17-31)
Thanks!

I never go to the big clubs, I have been told its a mad house and there are enough people to meet at the resort anyway

I haven't been to any local bars or small clubs, but big clubs like Coco Bongo and City will get you entertained enough. I usually go there becaues there aren't clubs like that here in USA.

Resort also have clubs in them and during day time, you can meet many new people are resort if you are friendly.

One time, local in Cancun told me to go to Cancun downtown for night out, I never went there, but I heard it's full of local mexican crowd. I figured it would be different experience. Don't know how safe it would be though.

If I was there 7 days, I would def go to these clubs: Coco Bongo, Basic, City, Mandala (or something), Coco Bongo again and Daddy O. Don't go to Senior Frogs...it's same as any other clubs in USA. When it Cancun, experience something different.

Enjoy your stay.

I'm not a fan of Coco Bongo or Mandala, but that's just my taste I suppose. Coco is less of a club and more like a crowded Vegas show. Most people have to stand together like matchsticks the entire time. If you sit, security will make you get back up.

I like the Congo Bar, right across the street from Coco. More open, all you can drink for $25, great service and good music.

If you venture into town, I'd go to the Mambo Cafe in Plaza Hong Kong.

Thanks for the replies, we're not staying at a resort, we did that last time. Are certain clubs better on certain nights? What about some bars downtown? We'll also be heading to isla mujeres for a few days, so if anyone has anything to add about that too it would be much appreciated! Thanks all!!

I'm not sure about what nights are better than others, don't think it really matters. As for downtown...

If you take the R1 bus to town, stay on it after it turns right down Tulum. Go about 3-5 blocks then get off. There are numerous bars in that area, most on the opposite side of the street from where you get off. Be careful walking down there and if you're looking for girls, there are a few bars to stay out of in the area: Karamba, Pikante and Once Once.

Another really nice area, even closer is near the bull ring. Its easiest to take a taxi to the bull ring. Under the ring and across the street are numerous bars and clubs catering more to locals than tourists, but very upscale. Just get out at the bull ring and checkout the entire area. I can think of at least 6 bars there off the top of my head. This is probably my favorite area to hang out.
