I've (LiLLy) been checking the forecast. What is the deal with the thunderstorms? Is this just the norm or will it really rain the entire time. Oh and Joe doesnt care. He says he won't let weather rule his vaca.

Not at all

We had a lot of rain last weekend, Fri/Sat/Sun but we needed it as it had hardly rained in 3 months. It got back to normal on Tuesday. Since then it has rained everyday...... for about 30 seconds

One thing you should never do and that is rely on the online weather forecast for Cancun!

Hot and dry. With an occassional passing rain storm....sometimes.

Oh, yea, that is right in the middle of prime hurricane time too. Of course, that doesn't happen very often. fingers crossed.

Hows the weather looking now? I know thunderstorms and scattered showers are forecast but its been pretty much the same for the last 3 weeks. Im due to come out for 2 weeks 4th sept, im going to be so gutted if its not nice and sunny, its my honeymoon!!!

Now the weather is super, very hot, today no wind at all. But a disturbance is forming, very far away, we will know more during the week. The computer models don't agree on the path (of course).

Otherwise, don't watch the forecast, they always say the same (thunderstorms) and it doesn't happen, or for an hour or two, maybe far from your hotel.

Hiya Jen thanks for the reply and for the link, very useful! I have had problems trying to get my hotels email address, have you got any ideas where I could find it. We are staying at the H10 ocean coral (or punta coral).

Far too early to tell what it will be like on October 3rd. You probably won't have any idea of any weather problems til about 5 days before your trip, and even then it's no guarantee.

Watch the National Hurricane Center site closer to your travel date to have a better idea of what to expect.
