|  ~ Playa Trip Report ~ The Final Chapter ~ PLAYA TRIP REPORT - DAY 7 - WEDNESDAY Woke to another beautiful, sunny day.  Unfortunately, it's our last full day of vacation. So between my sobs  I took a picture at breakfast. We went to the pool for a while.  The pool bar ...  Here's Norb behind the flowers ...  We had such a great time this week ...   Later in the day Norb and I wanted to go to Babe's for lunch, so we got dressed and walked down 5th Avenue ...  We love Babe's Noodle Bar ...  Look at the size of this mango margarita!  After lunch we went back to the Royal. Did I tell you they have mini coopers you can rent?  Back to the beach to soak up some sun ...  Christine was comfy on the beach bed ...  We lounged and talked and laughed and enjoyed a few drinks, trying to savor our last day. Later we got showered and dressed for dinner. Once again we went to Maria Marie's. We asked for our favorite waiter ...  We love this restaurant! I had grouper, and Norb had pork. And, of course, we had Spanish coffee ...  Good food! Great service! Rosario asked Mike to dance with her in the show tonight, and one of the other entertainment staff asked Christine. Here's Mike and Rosario on stage, while Christine waits her turn ...  What a FUN show! We may have had a little too much to drink, Sheila and I had the giggles ...  Who put those bananas on her head ?!?!?! One last drink in the lobby bar before we said goodnight ...  Thursday - Going Home I am always sooooo sad to go home. We LOVED the simplicity and tropical feel of the Shangri La Caribe! I read on the Playa board that it's been sold to the Hyatt, don't know if it's true or not ... I hope not! We would love to stay there again. We also LOVED the luxury and stellar service at the Royal, and we would love to stay there again! There were some things I wanted to do, but just didn't have the time ... I wanted to meet T.J. for lunch I wanted to visit with my favorite Cancun chicas ... sorry I missed seeing Liz, Laura and Joyce I wanted to see Steve & Jannet & Dani I wanted to see the cute fireman ... uh, I mean buy my son a t-shirt and I wanted to get another tattoo ... so I guess I'll have to go back SOON! Our private transport was right on time, waiting for us to check out. Excellent service from Brant's company. Got to the airport, checked in, and had time to shop while we waited to board. Uneventful flight home. It was raining when we landed in Pittsburgh ... or was that my tears? My sister said she would pick us up at the airport, as she has a large SUV. We got our luggage and went outside, and there she was, waiting patiently ... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:  :lol: :lol: We all had an AWESOME trip, and we can't wait to go back ...  THANKS FOR READING! | Moderator | Shoot, Dennis, I actually thought you had already typed it up and were holding out until I posted my (much more overdue) installment. I'm switching to one installment per day for the remainder of the TR, so there should be...four left (five if you include the "surprise ending"). Almost finished with the latest installment though. One paragraph per two days seems to be the pace thus far :roll:

| So you were at the Royal in Playa! I thought for a second that I got to see a picture of where the fiance works, but he works at Pelicanos in Cancun. |
