Default Oasis- Upgrading at Checkin

Ive read on here that you can upgrade at check-in is this still possible during peak season?

How much extra is it a day?

Do you still have to pay the security deposit?

Also i apologize for not throwing this in the oasis thread.

< why so much hate us spammers are people too. LOL.

I'd be interested to know the answers to your post as well. not to mention what resturants do people recommend when eating at the oasis (cancun) It's the first time i've stayed in the Oasis, have they a decent grill resturant for steaks or meat in general haha.

If you upgrade to grand Oasis you do not have to pay the security deposit. Staying at Grand makes you exempt from it.

The grand oasis is in the middle of the oasis property. So yes, its still a part of the oasis, its the big pyramid building in the middle. You get better rooms, and a few extra places to eat. A good deal in my opinion!

that depends.........I never upgrade when I arrive, usually just book it in advance! I would assume 50-60 extra per person per night................

I upgraded rooms just at the Oasis not to the Grand Oasis and it was $50.00 per person! Very cheap! Now as I was there this past week I heard someone say they upgraded to the Grand for a flat $250.00. Happy partying!

Wow, $50 a person is cheap to upgrade! What do you get with the upgrade that you don't get in the standard?

Everyone in Phase 1 was down to party compared to Phase 2.

Also the elevators work in phase 1.

my a/c didnt work for a day or two. never had hot water. faucet always dripped like crazy. no water pressure in the shower.

i dont think it could have been worse

Phase 1 is the louder phase for sure. Securities at phase 2 were telling people to keep it down even before it got really late. It was my first time hanging out at phase 2 and I was definitely not used to that.

But stuff working wise, phase 1 is worse usually. More breakers = more damage. In general, you should NOT expect anything to work at Oasis, phase 1 or 2. It's the most fun place to party in Cancun during the day but the hotel itself is terrible. That's why I don't stay there.
