|  traveling alone Hi guys im from cape town (south africa) and im thinking of going to cancun next 2011 spring break but my friends dont want to come with me...they prefere brazil so im going alone...i would like to know how boring its gona be or its gona be cool...im easy to meet people as im a travel guy but come on mexico is mexico  Mickey Mike |

| Mickey! Welcome to the boards!!!! So? from Cape Town huh!? what was the world cup like??? i cant even start imagining! Anyway, it wont be boring, at all! it will be so packed and you will have a great time, you will meet a lot of people... and i mean it A LOT!!!! My first 2 spring breaks i went alone and i met all these crazy guys (from cancuncare) and had the best time ever. You've come to the right place sweets! | To echo what others have already said... DO IT!!! I went w/ my bro in 2005 and several nights we got split up hanging out with different ppl. When I went back in 2008 no one had the money to go with so I went on my own and stayed at the Oasis. I met up w/ everyone from the boards and many other ppl and not a dull moment did I have. Well untill the plague hit early on my last day and spent the entire day in my room... Great time and great peeps you can't go wrong. Your friends will all wished they had made a different decision when you get back with vids/pics and stories.

| i wont really be staying at any hotel lol ill be staying at my place in downtown by then hahaha if i get the week off i might stay at the Royal Lagoon, sounds a bit stupid, but its better being in the hotel zone while u guys are out there woooooo

| this might have already been answered .. .. but thinking of travelling alone too (mates are all shacked up and not allowed on blokes holidays anymore!) ... where is the best hotel for lone travellers ... and the best site for booking said hotels? the cost seems to sky rocket when you look for single occupancy rooms ...

| I may end up travveling alone myself. my friend is unreliable when it comes to saveing up cash lol but it looks to only be an extra 200 pound to do so, so no biggie if it comes to it

| In the End, you only travel alone till you arrive at your hotel. From this point there will always be someone from the boards around beside the other thousand of SBers. So no worries about that. Already got a place to stay? |
