| Read down mate there is another topic for this! From the view of another fellow englishmen, i am taking £1000 for myself for 10 days but some of my group are taking as little as £300. I have never been before but i want to be getting some souvioners (box of cuban cigars ect) and i want to swim with dolphins so i will be doing some activities which will be adding to the monies. It really depends on what type of trip you want to have. PartyBoy! |

| $2000?? wow some of you guys are big spenders. Honestly, you could have a great time with around $300 as long as you know how to budget. I'm going for 4 nights and am bringing no more than $200 with me. - I will be going to a big club (where you buy an all you can drink pass) no more than 2 nights so that's $100. -$20-$30 for buses (transportation to and from airport is pre-booked) -drinks at random bars $20-$30 (I will be getting my money's worth at the hotel) -tips $50-$60 If you do all your eating and most of your drinking at the resort, use public transportation, don't go to big clubs every night you really don't need all that much money. It's really a cost benefit analysis. If your going for a week you could spend a $1000 and have a slightly better time (by getting your drinks a little fatter, going to multiple clubs a night, eating better food) than the person that drops $300. However, that person who spent $300 saved enough money to spend an extra week down there so in the end they come out the true winners! -Just my two cents |

For people who make more money and has less free time, that extra benefit may outweight the cost. I say to each's own. There are no winners or losers, as long as you have a good time. Fun and great memories are priceless.
