is $800 enought spending money

its my 1st time going to Cancun March 10th-16th, im in a all inclusive hotel but i just want to know is 800 enough spending money, I'm wanna have fun ...not budget

If you plan to eat at your hotel than you should be ok. You will have a 100 and change each day. If you plan to go in the krystal lets say that is roughly 25 a day and if you want drinks you might ended up spending another 20. No club will cost more than 60 to get in and drinks are included. As long as you take buses you will be cool. Remember to save money to pay departure tax.

A departure tax is a tax they charge you to leave the country and its usually like $20-$30 per person. If you live in the states you shouldn't have to worry about paying anything extra to depart. I never have had to unless it was already included in my airfare price.

safe side middile finger, double your budget. I'm taking probably 2k for 7 days, but i do it big. I usually never stay in one club for the whole night.

Im taking around a thousand dollars so im hoping that will be enough. we are all inclusive and even if the food is crap , im not fussy . just going to be careful the 1st few days ! went to Amsterdam last year and blew all my money in the 1st day !

ok. just my two cents. 100US$ is surely enough a day if you eat at your resort..

@roast 2k for 7 days? you cant spend that much for clubbing... if you change clubs often at one night you might consider only paying cover as it doesnt make sense to pay open bar if you leave after one hour. sure, you can order bottles and stuff, than even 2k for one week is not enough. ;-)

Dude, I went to Miami for labor day weekend and my tab just at NOBU was over 1k.

Vegas Dinners are like 6-800

cancun without limits is 2-4k, easily. especially when you have broke friends coming!

Where the hell are you going where you can actually spend $2,000 in Cancun in a week? I did 9 nights and didn't spend over $700, and had an awesome time.

When I'm in a good mood I tend to tip very very well. I dont get many vacations due to the high pressure at work. So when I do get a chance I go BIG. Plus i plan on dropping 3-4 bills at the airport duty free on liquor. I refuse to eat dinner's at the resort. Trust me 2k will flow like tequila.

I spend more money in 2 weeks on spring break than I do in 2 months at home. It's borderline obsessive how I scrimp and save all year to be able to blow it in Cancun lol (is scrimp a real word?)

to the OP....we usually take $100 a day for each of us, but we dont go during spring break and we take advantage of the all inclusive...we usually only go out to clubs twice in seven days and go on 2-3 excursions...

haha i get in on the 12th and my buddy doesnt come till the 15th so ill be getting in some trouble alone for a while.

weight is coming off but im not happy with the lack of muscle mass, normally im 6-10 pounds heavier all muscle by summer, but having to stop my bulk and start my cut, screwed everything up. oh well i will go with what i have, 210 trying for 200...

we brought 1500 each last year for 13 nights and were broke 2 days before we went home. Get this.... we didn't go to ANY club besides Sweet. We did go to congo/corona bar/slices/terrasta/XX and wherever almost every night or every other night though. where did it go? well brent spent like 500 on scuba school. We both spent about 400 on massages at the spa. About 300-400 was in tips at my resort alone. I spent about 200 in souvenirs for my family and to kiss my bosses ass. 1-2 trips to isla costed us probably about $150 total. I honestly dont even know where the rest of it went! LOL

I guess it just depends on what you do! I've seen people come with 200 for a week and be fine. They went to the club twice and the rest of the time did the free bars or partied at the hotel. lol
