| Hey there! Two random questions, specially for locals such as Norma that may know better .1) Last year I was there I looked everywhere to rent a bike to go to Playa del Carmen where my cousin lives. I drive a bike in my city and also have the highest ranked license, so any cc would be fine. But the thing is that all through Cancun, the only bikes I could find where those yellow scooters (125 cc) that weren't meant for long travels (anyway, I still went with one of those to PdC but it was awful!!!) and on the opposite corner, the Harley Davidson that required a 2K deposit before renting, and my credit card was over, so couldn't do it. So... is there any bike rental in Cancun where they would rent "regular" bikes, like 250 cc, 400 cc, 600 cc, whatever, besides the ultra expensive Harleys? 2) This is simpler. Is there a reliable, free (or by buying some drinks or something) WiFi hot spot in CUN? The Oasis where I stayed before charged 20 USD for 24 hs that would expire in 5 days or so... a really complicated charging system. That plus the fact that it pretty much never worked fine. Thanks |

| Plaza Caracol is the one that has a fountain in the entrance and that is really classy, right? If I don't remember wrong, it would be quite far from Be Live Viva Beach... don't you think? It's even far from the clubs zone. Or maybe I'm mistaking it with another! LOL |

USD 2000.00 of deposit!!!! ![]() That's really scary... I mean, some drunk car passes by, touches you and BAM, you've lost 2 grands! Weren't you scared when you made the deposit? Did you have any problem retrieving it? What I'm looking for is something not as huge as a HD, but as I said before, some Honda or Yamaha; the usual ones the people drives around. I'm hoping Normita can get me some contacts! | |

| I was too horny/blind, I just wanted to ride a HD on Cancun, so really didn't think about the $2 K No, I didn't have any problems when I came back to retrieve the bike. It was a very pleasant experience and as I said, I'm planning on doing it again. Imagine my bad luck, I rented the bike and went to Playa, when I decided to come back to Cancun it started raining. I had to drive in the highway raining from playa to cancun. Next day I went shopping and it was raining again. When leaving La Isla I lost some grip due to the wet floor and veeeeeery high torque on the bike, but fortunately I could control it. |
