Default Tsunami?
Hi all,

First time to Spring Break in Cancun leaving next Sunday. Looking forward to it.

Do you think the Tsunami in Japan will have an affect at all? I know its not the be all and end all since there are people in much worse situations but just would be good to know.

Default for thos of you in cancun and missed the crazy news.
figured id keep u guys updated since you dont have access to alot of news down thur. There was a 8.9 earthquake just off the east coast of japan, 5th largest in recorded history i believe. shook things up over there, had several aftershocks in the 7.2 range i believe and 6's. then it made a tsunami which slayed the japan coast pretty hard. Also there is a tsunami warning for hawaii, philippines, guam, indonesia and some other places. also there is a advisory for basically the whole pacific coast from the mex boarder up in alaska. There was also an increase in volcanic activity in the north west US. So shits a lil messed up right now but keep partying hard down there!

I dont think it will have an effect on spring break trips unless you are flying out of japan or some place that got hit with the tsunami. cancun is on the other side of mexico so i dont see it being an issue there. Shits crazy tho!

Not unless the Tsunami somehow hits Mexico's western coast and traverses the entire land area to Mexico's east coast.

The only tsunami in Cancun was all the shit rain yesterday. Sun is back today.

I actually just heard the tsunami will be making landfall at 6:05 tonight. It will be arriving at señor frogs come 11. Better take cover.

I heard Lake Michigan will not be affected either so all green lights for my 8AM fight tomorrow.

The only tsunami hitting Cancun is the alcohol tsunami being served all day and night in Cancun.......seriously people if you don't know where JAPAN and CANCUN are look at a map and you will quickly find out that its in the Atlantic Ocean aka EAST cost of mexico....ONLY thing that had warnings was the WEST cost / Pacific Ocean......LMAO

Thanks Carrie. I made fun of people asking the same question on student city's fb page, people got offended and student city had to delete the whole thread. LOL.

And speaking of comng to Chicago, if you can get the weekend/night off, Joe is coming for his birthday May 5-8. Chad will be here as well May 5-7. We are going to Uncle Fatties on Friday night.

I was actually curious not of tsunami's.... but if the waves and current would be rougher than usual because of it all? Not that I really go in the ocean..... ever..... but just in case! lol. It's nice to just look at regardless! hahah <3 9 days!
