Smile Trip report TTR March 3 - 8

Drink, drink, drink... Friends, and more friends! What a great time! Day one arrived about 3pm, was already at the pool and unpacked by 4pm. Didn't pace myself and was sleeping at 8pm. Woke up at 11pm, missed the lingerie party, but still wore my lovely garment and partied in the rain until 4am! Was at the pool by 6am to secure a chair for the next day and slept there and watched some great pool games all day with Chinos. Saturday was the highlight with Steve's boobs cruise! A fun time to be had by all! Tops all came off as soon as we got on the boat and stayed off all day! We were all so pooped from the sun and tequila sunrises that it was another early night! The rest of the trip was spent with the great people I met from Seattle, Iowa, Canada and London, England. I traveled alone, but felt like family with everyone being so nice, and the bar workers were AWESOME! I can't wait to go back!

this year has been awesome, so far every single day has had a highlight, everyone knows im always one of the first ones to write trip reports, but this year it just wont happen...

the lack of sleep and the ridiculous amounts of alcohol combined with the "real" life here, just dont get along.

If i ever get time (while im not partying) and remember something... i will post it...

For now... meeting with the crew tonight for the last time with some of them

There's no way I can do a trip report. No way to put all the pieces of the last week together. Outside of one or two days were I was absolutely beat down from the lack of sleep, it was all nonstop.

Looks like a good time dawg. I'm glad you put in some footage of the hotel antics in there. I leave Tuesday an I'm staying at Riu Cancun for 9 nights but was kinda worried about it not popping off. Definitely not a problem for me to really tear into that place.

I'm not going to do this day by day since they all kind of blended together. Basically, I went to the beach every afternoon and club every night no matter how tired/hungover I was. I had a blast hanging out with my group and meeting the other cc groups on this trip, like every other year. But it was almost, except for the last night, a complete failed year for me when it comes to the girl meeting department.

WORST RATIO EVER
The spring break ratio was never good but this year was just ridiculous. You see maybe a dozen hot girls at Krystal beach during the day and maybe a handful at night at any club (maybe slightly more if you go to a super packed night where you can barely move). The peak beach party hour was shorten (3:30-5PM at Krystal instead of noon-5PM usually at Oasis) and we spent the prime pregame hours (7-10PM) in our rooms instead of going somewhere with a lively pregaming lobby bar. All that contributed to me meeting almost no girls the entire week. It almost made me want to compile a list of what do girls like questions and post them on cc for next year.

CLUBS
Clubs were playing a lot more electronic dance music which I really enjoyed. Again, terrible ratio everywhere. Usually, I can easily get girls to come up to me with my dancing but it didn't work at all this year. The new club Mandala was great but it's kind of small and got super packed easily. Sweet is hands down my favorite club in Cancun. Two of the most memorable nights of this trip, I've spent them at Sweet. Their DJ is really good, I love the light up floor and ceiling. When it's not too crowded or too empty, Sweet has the perfect layout for getting drunk with bottle service then dance the night away.

KRYSTAL
It's nowhere as big as Oasis and the beach was 90% dudes (theme for the entire Cancun this year, not an isolated problem for any particular hotel or club) during the day. The older tower rooms are okay (still way better than Oasis) but I heard the new tower is really nice. I think I'll seriously consider staying at the new tower next year if that's the Student City HQ again. The last night of my trip, I snuck inside and hung out at the lobby bar during pregaming hours, it actually had the best ratio of anywhere I went all week. Me and a friend of a friend (my group all left by that point) met 5 girls at the bar and took them to Sweet and had a great time.

NEW FRIENDS OF THE YEAR
I meet a lot of people every year, but there are always a special few that you know will become an integral part of your crew for years to come. And this year, Nuno and Mauricio win the award. You guys are tons of fun to hang out with. You are always up for any kind of craziness and you are reliable (flaky people drive me crazy). I'm really looking forward to partying with you guys again whether it's in Vegas, Chicago, or NYC. And the honorable mention is Larson, what a chill guy. It was too bad we couldn't party more together because we were both pretty busy with our own group. Maybe some other time.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT
Mauricio convinced the bus drive to let us rent out the entire bus for US$25 and let us drive it back from the clubs to Oasis at 4AM in the morning. This is not only the best story of this trip. It's possible the best story of all my Cancun trips.

SURFIN BURRITO
It's so good, it deserves it's own paragraph in my trip report. Thanks Norma for letting me know about this place. They seriously have the best burrito I've ever had and I eat a lot of Mexican food even when I'm not in Cancun.

CONCLUSION
I had a good time this year but ever since having ridiculous amount of fun 2 years ago, I think the overall enjoyment of my spring break trips has been steadily declining. This is probably the first time I didn't have that sad empty feeling when I left Cancun. I think American spring break just got way too popular among all the dudes around the world. The massive saussagefest never really bother me before but the worse than normal ratio got kind of annoying on this trip. I love Cancun but I don't know if I will go during peak weeks again. I'm thinking doing a non peak week (last week of Feb or first week of March) may have much better ratio and the clubs won't be packed to the point where you can barely move.

I laughed out loud at that sentence. Also, Henry you must go during peak weeks next year. I really want to meet everyone next year!

Great trip report. Sorry about the ratio. I ran into that problem at Temptation 3 yrs ago in march. Thats why i will never go in march again but it's different for as i'm a little older n past my SB days. Thanks for sharing

Love the trip reports, I also heard it was the biggest sausage fest that any has ever seen. Might have to do with the “drug crime” and the USA trying to persuade students not to go to Cancun. You just never know. Hopefully it is better next year.

Just to kind of copy Henry and add my own two cents in

CLUBS
Normally, I spend 3-4 nights of my trip at Frogs, but this year something seemed to be off. Maybe it was the fact that the whole entire setup was ass backwards, or maybe it was there was too much stuff to do, but I only went there once, and what a night it was. I think it's safe to say that SWEET has also taken over the ranks as my favorite club. The wait for Frogs was way too long the second time we tried to go, so we decided against it. MANDALA is awful, everything is too narrow, and it's damn near impossible to grab a drink or make your way to the bathroom up the 2 foot wide staircase. They should have kept Corona Bar. I liked the fact we tried something different just about every night. City, Bulldog, Sweet, etc. I will NEVER again go to Basic. Seems everytime I go, I do not have a good time, so F YOU BASIC!! Sweet will be hit up more than once next year, of course with the table and bottles!

KRYSTAL
Anytime you can set up your own party spot on the beach complete with an unnecessary amount of bottles, its sure to be a good time, as was the case with Krystal beach. Yes, alot of dudes, but with the help of booze on demand, you can bring girls in like nothing. Definitely some good times were had at Krystal. Just wish I made it there more than 3? times.

NEW FRIENDS OF THE YEAR
I enjoyed meeting everyone individually but if I had to give the award out, it goes to three. Hands down, Mauricio, Nuno and Ron. Those guys love to party and fit right in with our group. What more can I say? Also, was a pleasure to meet the rest of you guys, Nico, Kellz, Ryan etc...all helped make the trip what it was. I trust a few more will be joining the regular group next year.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT
If I could remember the majority of the trip, I'd probably have a most memorable. Evidently I was directing traffic outside of Frogs one night, but for the life of me, I cannot recall.

SURFIN BURRITO
Also deserves a paragraph from me. I had the tacos twice, and the burrito once, and it was heavenly. Despite it taking about an hour and a half to get the meal, it was well worth it. Quite inexpensive as well, always a plus.

CONCLUSION
Definitely a trip to remember, thanks to everyone involved. My only hope for next year is that I dont spend all of my energy the first night out, and maybe I'd be able to partake in some more daytime activities haha. Definitely one for the books, with the new group of friends, and the possibility of some returning regulars (not to mention names, but I have confirmation) next years trip could go above and beyond.

MVP I am sure I named someone an MVP already, but Luz is by far the most valuable to the trip. Hooking us up with tables and bottles pretty much every night, just cant be topped. She's the best! Here's to ya Luz

Luz helped us out most nights but Norma got the hook up for Sweet. Totally made me look like a pimp my last night there.

I didn't really notice a big problem with the ratio actually. I mean, I'd be lying if I said it was a sausage fest, but what helped me the most was probably going out to the beach, especially post-peak hours, and finding ppl at krystal to drink with before the clubs, then meet up and dance. It was actually easier for me to get around inside of krystal and get drinks than doing that with oasis last year.

Default Trip Report

Hey guys!

First off thank you to all the guys and gals at CC who helped me a lot in my research for the place, absolutely amazing! It was so easy when i landed and after i found my footing it was pretty easy to locate things when i was there and didnt have too many issues in finding places for a newbie like me that was pretty cool!

Cancun was pretty amazing holiday but the one thing that got me and my friends down was the whole sausage factory that was in motion! hahaha never seen so many guys on the beach EVER! We've been on quite a few holidays and this had a lot of cocks!
I know the situation was pretty bad with the whole Oasis/BeLive thing and i met quite a few people out there who said that the ratio has never been this bad before, but WOW!

We couldnt even talk to women much because they were probably getting hassled at the hotel...then the beach...then the clubs...then walking home and they must've been getting pissed off with all men! Some were really nice tho!

Sausage complaints aside....we had a great time still...we went to Mandela quite a few times and in the beginning it wasn't so busy and the ratio seemed a lot better in there than most but the more we went in there the more packed it got and the less space we had to move around...we would get table service and bottle service and even then the area wasn't respected...the music in there was pretty phat! So we would go in there for that and the atmosphere in general. Plus we paid $40 each only once to get into any place otherwise we haggled with the ticket guys and got in for like anywhere between $25-$35 with table or bottle service which was cool

We went to Dady O's for the Jersey Shore Sundays thing and cos 3 out of the 4 of us are huge fans we were pretty excited and this was our third night out and our jaws dropped with more sausages haha....all the hot girls were dancing away on stage and when Ronnie came out with his crew they took all the hot chicks away! Ronnie was SHIT...complete waste of time and money...he didnt even host the party...he couldnt even sing a long to 'Barbra Streisand' properly...dumbass! We couldnt move or dance in there because everybody kept spilling their drinks or bumping into us...

We went the beach a couple of times and had some fun there, for people from England it was an experience! American women are absolutely beautiful and so are brazilian women!

We were at the Clipper Club so pretty close to all the night life and no hassle of getting a bus or a cab although we did go to walmart and thanks to the advice we got everywhere pretty cheaply...although we didnt think about renting a bus :P haha

We went on the Chichen Itza trip and i know that most people dont do that but we felt we had to cos were on that side of the atlantic and we are pretty used to drinking sleeping tanning eating drinking sleeping yadda yadda, that whole cycle of things when we go out on weekends

I'm sorry that we didnt make it to the CC Party...We had completely lost track of dates and stuff and i think we were chasing some tail into a club or something and i only realised a few days after! So apologies...although I think i did see Fletch on the beach and Henry also

Also met Mormis too

All in all we did have a good time despite the sausage and at least i can say i went to spring break in cancun and i definately wanna come back next year...just have to convince my friends that it won't be cockblock season lol

ONCE AGAIN

Thank You!

Default Trip Report

So I stayed at the Westin Regina Mar. 11-13, it was pretty nice really far from everything but the bus rides were always fun. Spent most of my day either at the pool/beach or shopping. Went to Hacienda Sisal the first night for dinner, it was extremely good! Margaritaville for lunch where I added a signed dollar to their collection above/around the bar. Went to Dady O's, Congo, & the bar to the left of Congo (Dos Equis??) on one night, went the City the next the ratios weren't too bad. The guys were very umm interesting. Hands down I give all the Cancun bartenders an A+++ my friend and I were throwing back drinks like they were water and not once we were schwasted.

Would I go back? YES!
With the same person as this time? NO next probably with someone with a better budget.

Next time: I'll plan on staying closer to where everything is, although the bus was fun there weren't an insane amount of breakers at my hotel maybe 30 people the most.

Yea that was supposed to read, " I'd be lying if I said it WASN'T a sausage fest, but..." and then go on with my rant about finding girls at the beach.
