No way to know the financial status of Oasis for sure. They lost a lot of money on the lack of payment with lease to Be Live. And because the lawsuit dragged on for so long, they made no money during this spring break (the only time of the year they can really pack the shitty hotel). If they don't go bankrupt, it will also depend on how successful Student City's relationship with Krystal turned out this year.

It's way too early to speculate. We should just wait and see and worry about it in 9 months.

I ALMOST posted this on here earlier and decided that it was probably way too early to tell. I imagine they will wait for some feedback about which people prefer. I'm crossing my fingers that Krystal worked well because of location and that they go there again.

The krystal cant hold the amount of people studentcity hopes to book every year.

Their relationship with the Oasis is amazing and has been for years.

Krystal has a great relationship with studentcity due to the high school break/grad break trips and has never been overly popular come spring break time due to some of their regulations.

The oasis was sprucing everything up while i was there so hopefully they are going to continue with this. They were adding huts and other chill out spots which was nice.

Its now grad week booking time and we shall see what happens with that and pending any more legal or financial troubles Oasis will yet again become spring break king and i will be enjoying it from my nicer room at the omni =).

PS- ill let you guys know first when i find out

good to hear. I would love it to go back to oasis, i mean dont get me wrong i loved the location of krystal being right in town but oasis is huge. only one problem cancun is turning into mancun and im not a fan of that!

Im also sure alot of girls hated this year because of the constant harassment.

6:1 would definitely be pushing it. Of course I wont complain about having lots of good looking guys around but there are definitely sometimes when it got to be a little much, even last year and honestly the ratio at Krystal didn't seem that bad to me in 2010. The worst is huge groups like football buddies or anything like that. Damn near impossible to get them to go away when they get that group mentality thing. I'm still excited anyway, just have to bring more of my girls with me.

It felt like worst than 6:1. Maybe 10:1. Usually I get a couple to a dozen girls coming up to me a day because I'm always dancing. I got nothing this whole trip. The girls I hung out with the last day, they were telling me how aggressive all the guys were and they had guys coming up to them constantly all week. Even when we were at my table at Sweet, a couple guys actually came up and ask me if they could join us. I guess all the good looking girls were too busy fending off all the dudes and didn't have a chance to come up to me. Oh well.

Ive gotten tables in many different places and never has this once occurred to me only in Cancun.

Im used to female bottle rats not guys mooching other guys.

Looking at some opf the vids on youtube im not surprised why some guys didnt pull.....Most of them dress like shit.

In the UK who goes to a club in a:

*Baseball cap
*Vest
*Shorts
*Sandals

My word anyone with half a dress sense will clear up.

(Not saying anyone here fitted that bill by the way)

There are 2 groups of people who go to Cancun. First group go to have fun and second group go to get laid. First group has pretty even ratio. But second group is mostly guys because girls can get some easily whereas for most guys, it's not easy at all and they will go through great length, literally and metaphorically, for the hope of getting some. If you average (i.e. so this study is normalized and not effected by any ratio) the distance all the guys travelled to get to Cancun and the distance all the girls travelled to get to Cancun, I'll bet you one is significantly greater.

Unfortunately, the hope of getting some doesn't always result in actually getting some. Just because you are promised of 72 virgins in paradise if you blow yourself up by some crazy religious leader, it doesn't necessarily mean you will actually get 72 virgins in paradise once you blow yourself up. And if such afterlife place does exist, I can bet you it has the same ratio as Cancun this year if not worse. Like I said, guys will go through a lot of trouble for the hope of getting some, girls not so much.

That's my social-psychology analysis of the Cancun sausagefest phenomenon.

Will it get better next year? I don't know. Hope is a very resilient thing. And just because some people lose hope, there will always be more out there seeking it.

ahhh ill never lose hope in cancun ive yet to strike out. both years where filled with allllll the good stuff, you just gotta be able to socialize, all the meathead guys think the girls are gunna come to them. Sorrry braaaa ur fake tan and muscles dont work down here. it takes a personality to get laid in cancun hahahaha.
