Just Back - American guys have NO game!

Hi all,

So im an english guy, just back from Cancun, it was fantastic. Probably the best holiday (vacation!) ive ever had.

I stayed at the Gran Caribe Real. Absolutely perfect location.

A few observations.

1. Krystal - absolute shithole. I thought about where to stay, saw that was the "party" location and realised ALL guys would think "we'll go to the best party location". Wrong decision boys. Think about it in future, girls dont wanna be perved on all day long! I went there, asked the staff on reception on the 12th March... "how many girls checked in today?"... "two". "How many guys?"... "three hundred"!. Learn that lesson boys.

2. I had a massively successful week with the girls. An english accent there and any level of ability to hold a conversation guarentees sex. I slept with 5 girls in 7 nights and stayed in one night. I dont exaggerate when I tell you being English there is akin to being a celebrity.

3. American guys cannot pull! I spent a number of hours watching guys attempt to pull on a boat trip. Alot of them are good looking fella's, ripped, obviously take care of themselves etc. But when it comes to holding a conversation with a female?! Dear oh dear oh dear! Little tip guys - going up to a girl and going "YEAAAAAH SPRING BREAK BABY" and grabbing them for a cuddle doesnt work. You need to talk. The amount of guys I saw do this and then see the fear in their eyes immediately afterwards was just astonishing.

Basically, to summarise - American guys - forget your looks, work on how you TALK to girls, youll be suprised.
If you're english - you cant fail.

In all seriousness though, everyone was so friendly, every group of guys were magic, every group of girls were magic. It was the most amazing trip and I met people there who id consider friends for life.

Ill be back next year. Take it easy people...

I'm Canadian, french canadian at that, so i'm not offended. That being said, i've seen alot of british guys have no clue at all either while staying at temptation. Thinking its a free for all!! My point is, it's not where you're from, it's who you are.

Don't know about all the hotels but we walked around Gran Melia, Oasis, Omni beach area and Omni pool area during the day the first couple days. I actually thought Krystal had (relatively speaking) way more good looking girls than any other alternatives and any clubs at night. Especially the last evening when I went to the lobby bar, it had best ratio I had seen anywhere all week.

That's totally true but not limited to American guys. You might have just noticed more with American guys because there were more American guys but there were guys from all corners of the world who didn't know how to talk to women . I was doing a lot of observing during my trip since there were, in my experience, not a lot of attractive girls to talk to and hang out with. There would be guys just going around and literally picking up random girls to put over their shoulders (whether the girls wanted or not since they didn't bother to talk to the girls first) and try to take the girls back to their group. We called those guys cavemen. Then there were guys with ridiculous costumes. It got some attention but that was not enough to make girls wanting to hang out with them after the pictures were taken.

That's what I've been saying all forever. You can go to the gym all day and you probably still won't look as buff as most of the guys down there. But work on your personality and learn how to make girls feel like they are having the time of their lives whole time they are with you, they won't want to not be around you. The 5 girls I met at Krystal lobby bar the last night, at least 5 groups of guys (I'm sure most were better looking than me) came up to hit on them at Sweet but they stuck with me the whole night.

I disagree with the accent, that too can only get you in the door, you still can't keep girls entertained without an good personality. Girls will want to hang out with the most interesting guys, not guys with the most unique accent. Not to mention British accent is actually not that unique in Cancun. There are TONS of Brits who go down to Cancun every year.

I disagree with most of that. If you're saying Krystal is a shithole because of the ratio that's ridiculous. I've never seen a place in Cancun where the girls weren't outnumbered.
Also, it's seriously quite silly to lump an entire nation together and say they've got no game. During peak weeks there is more American guys there than guys from any other country so of course there will be a few douchey ones. I don't disagree that there are a lot of good looking guys that take the wrong approach to picking up girls simply by being super aggressive. That said, I also met a lot of English/Irish/Australian/etc guys that thought that their accent made them something special and it was equally unattractive.
Henry was totally right, an accent might get you in the door but believe me, it does NOT mean you "can't fail".

it is my experience that ppl that talk/brag like this in fact probably didnt get laid....

The other thing I noticed is that a lot of European and Brazilian guys come to Cancun and are on overdrive trying to pick up girls 100% of the time. American guys enjoy having fun with their friends, goofing around. Half of the time an American guy says something ridiculous to a girl, it's just to be funny and have a laugh with his buddies. I can say that I don't go to spring break to get laid, I go to have a fun time with my friends and enjoy the scenery.

It amazes me how the sole purpose of foreign guys on spring break seems to be to get laid. It's as if they don't see hot girls in their daily lives, and they've never slept with a girl before. Then again, American girls are generally way better looking than what you guys have over in Britain, so I guess it makes sense.

One other thing...I saw a foreign guy hitting on an american girl hardcore on the bus one afternoon. The girl was giving me looks, like "what the hell is wrong with this guy." He was saying ridiculous things. She was leading him on and subtly making fun of him, but he wasn't getting it due to the cultural divide. I feel like you guys sometimes think you're working good game on American girls, and American girls aren't confrontational and often play along, but they really aren't going for it at all.

I have a very ridiculous example of American guys wanting to have fun with their friends, with zero intention of trying to pick up any girls.
My ex and I every summer got a house in Jersey with like 14 other ppl and most of them were guys. This group LOVED to be stupid and have fun at the same time. One of their biggest games at a bar/club was to buy a rose, and when a girl walked by, they would rub it in their face. Their was no point to it. They just got a kick out of it. Sometimes it would result in someone striking up conversation, and other times a guy they were with got really pissed. In the end the girls laughed it off and and the guys I was with had a fun night. No harm, no foul.
What I do find to be a kill all is the British guys that come here and think it's Halloween. Getting dressed up in costumes and going to clubs has to be kept across the pond. Put that next to a man with a killer body but with no game and my choice is easy.

Henry, I couldn't agree more with this statement. I'm in Cancun right now (for the first time) & I have met some great people from he USA, Britain, Brazil & few other places also. I have also met some tossers from those countries (and also some from Australia!). I will say though, and I don't mean to generalise, but guys from New York seem to think they're the shit & that doesn't seem to fly with the ladies.

Anyway I'm having an awesome time & I hope that the people I have met have enjoyed hanging with me.

i got back from cancun last sunday and it was amazing, me and 2 other english lads and we hung about with a group of 4 americans for a week as they were amazing lads and also hung about with 4 american girls for there last few days, all i can say is those americans made my holiday

Not to mention, the number of girls you hook up doesn't necessarily correlate to the amount of game you have. Okay, so the ratio of british guys: american guys was probably worse during the week that I went and there seemed to be a lot more british guys than american guys there BUT... I'm a british girl that lives in America and ever since I've been in america, I've found american guys to (on the whole in comparison to british guys) have awful chat. BUT, in Cancun, I preferred the american guys. During my entire stay in cancun, I met over 100 british guys and I have to say... They all embarrassed me; there was no way I was even kissing any of them, let alone going home with them. I'm sure there were some nice british guys out there, but I didn't meet any of them and I think it's kind of an indication that the kind of guys who are willing to pay lots of money to fly across the world for 12 hours during an American/canadian spring break are generally tools and not representative of british guys in general.

I can't see how your accent would have been any help in getting you laid as at least every other person was also from britain.
