Need some advices for SB 2012?

Hello people,
i'm planning to go to cancun at 2012, i think i will stay there between feb23 - march5.

I think i will stay 7 days at Oasis, and after them i would like to book another hotel, which one would you recommend? What hotel have the best womens/men ratio.

Also, would you recommend Temptation? are there singles going there during SB ?


Also, when during the year it use to be the best time to book and get better prices.

Good choice with the weeks.. Would be right before peak-weeks, so the ratio in general should be better than this year.

Oasis Daypasses were at 50 US this year. A bit to much for my oppinion, as you were limited to only 2 restaurant and you have to be off the premises at 6 pm.

As other Hotels i would personally recommend:

- Omni (next to Oasis)
- Krystal (walking distance to the clubs but small pool)
- ME by Melia (hip and chic , nice crowd and ratio but more expensive)

Yeah if you want to be close to the clubs etc I'll say krystal if you just wanna party 24/7 n dont mind getting sick from your resort food and not to metion the noice around the hallway every night ill say oasis.... Since oasis will be SC HQ next year and if is your first time stay in oasis I don't think u guys would mind getting sick lol JK... And about booking it's always good to book 3 or so month in advance...

I dont think there's a set hotel that guarantees more female guests than men...if there is, i havent seen it.

Theres ALWAYS going to be more dudes than girls, fact.

Maybe its only because i had a great time the only day i went to Krystal, but i just thought it was awesome! the thirty-something dollars we paid for the day pass were totally worth it since we had a nice spot at the beach, now for next year at Oasis, i dont think they will have good spots at the beach, maybe some of the beds by the pool... but anyway, hopefully i can get some days off for next spring break

i only saw you guys at night bwahahahaha

Actually, when we were down, at our hotel, it was more females then males... or it was 50/50.. there were several groups of 2-5 girls that were down!

The ratio at Krystal really wasn't THAT bad when i was there in 2010...i'm thinking studentcity definitely contributed to having sooo many guys there from what i saw of the pictures. I'll stay at krystal in 2012 and hopefully there will be plenty of people but maybe not such a bad ratio...

Well most likely alot of those ppl will be at oasis next year since SC HQ will be oasis..... Most of us will be next door....

Yo does anyone who's travelled from the UK to Cancun for Spring Break before (or anyone at all!) have any answers for the following:

1) Are you able to get full party packages similar to those up for grabs for US college students or is everything costed on top of flights / hotels etc...

2) Was thinking of hitting Cancun for Spring Break 2012, maybe like second and third week of March; is there a bad time to go or does it just run straight through?

3) Does anyone know the best booking agents for flights / hotels etc from the UK?

Don't forget that BUSLOAD of girls rocked up to Oasis the night before we left... I think the ratio would have changed a fair bit while they were there!

im from the uk aswell and went last feb.... the last week started getting a lot more busy as spring break was probs just starting.....going again in 2012 but going 11th march for 2 weeks...booked through thomas cook and probs go through them again this time... not sure where to stay tho

That's rad, thanks for your help. I've seen bits and pieces about good / bad places to stay, I guess it makes sense to book at as far in advance as possible as I doubt its gunna be that cheap the closer you get! Where did you fly from last year?
