Best place to meet people (other than hotel)

always good to meet new people and I know the hotel and clubs are probs the best way to meet new people, but do many people go out during the day to hang out at some of the bars? or is it all just saved for the hotel and night time events... been to cancun before but spent most the time in the hotel then out at night...this time I want a bit of a change

Some of the best times I had in cancun was day parties! Try checking out a few other hotels for day parties! But head out to Carlos n Charlies, Senior Frog, ect during the day. There are plenty of people partying during the day, that is for sure!!

thanks for that ill be sure to have a look.....how do you go about getting day passes for hotels? just go to the reception of them and ask for a day pass?

Yes, that's exactly right. Basically the best day party will be at the Oasis Cancun, if you aren't staying there, GO! Aside from that, check out Carlos n Charlies, Senior Frogs, Slices and a few of the other indoor/outdoor bars around there. Plenty going on!

i know jason is going to defend it with his life but slices has been the worst bar on the strip for a couple of years now, no lie... its ALWAYS empty, it used to be the best... now no one goes there

I don't want to sound like I'm promoting my fav bar (terrasta) but since there is no cover, that's a good place to meet before heading to the club, if I'm with you you might get some sort of 2x1 deal in drinks lol jk if not, the open bar is less than 25 usd.

Meeting at one of the bars is a good idea.

I think that "Surfin Burrito" will make a great meeting point for 2012, its a small burrito shack that sells awesome and inexpensive food and drinks, right across the street from senor frogs, also, its open 24/7

yup i will admit when I first went in 2008 Slices was it. Then it calmed a bit. Then Terasta was OFF THE HOOK.

But I'll also say this depending on what time you go may make the difference. LAst trip me and "punkmam23" took a out of the norm day excursion to those areas we are usually at night, and depending on your charm you can be in for the time of your life. LoL

i think that the best thing about the place is that theres no cover and if you want open bar its cheap, the deck upstairs has been remodeled, the place is looking better, they also changed the bar...

dont mess with my bar wu

SLICES SUCKS it really is empty always, the only person i remember going to slices recently was hallie, and i dont think she is coming this year

I met tons of people playing pick up volleyball on the beach. Day parties are gaining momentum and I fell it is almost easier to approach girls there opposed to a club
