| PLEASE READ: Statement Regarding Posting In light of posts being deleted for a variety of reasons, I just wanted to remind everyone of proper forum etiquette that all of us should adhere to. First and foremost, in regards to posting, we encourage all members to contribute to topics in which they are familiar or wish to become familiar with. If you are unfamiliar with a certain topic, and do not wish to learn more, we politely ask that you carry on to a topic in which you have an interest, as not to distract from the original posting. This should help the original poster find their answer in a quick and easy manner. On a regular basis, new members come looking to attain specific information, and they deserve the most proper, knowledgeable information that we can provide them. Giving answers that provide no useful information are discouraging and will undoubtedly discourage new members from asking question. Basically, posting just to post is not what this board is about. The number of posts next to ones name does not put them above any other member. Everyone has something different to offer this board and we want to give everyone a fair chance to speak their mind, share stories and memories and chat in a worry free place. If you wish to carry on a non topic related conversation with another member, the private message feature is available to use and highly encouraged. This is not a personal attack on any individual(s), just a reminder as to why we are here and what rules all of us should follow to ensure not only the best knowledge is passed along, but to keep this forum running smoothly. Thank you for reading, and your help in the matter is greatly appreciated. If any other mods wish to contribute to this, by all means feel free. Fletch

| Newbies please read before starting a new thread And since we are in high spring break gear right now, there will be a lot of new posts/threads. I want us to try to minimize the number of random and misc. threads so the important threads don't get buried to the second page easily. So I'm asking... For all the newbies: Please at least try to do a quick search before starting a new thread. The search button on the top right of the board. A lot of the questions have been asked and answered many many times. There are tons of useful information in the old threads. There is no point in creating new threads for those questions. The more often a question is asked, the less likely you'll get tons of answer for it because people do get tired of answering the same questions after a while. You will be much better off finding more comprehensive answers in the old threads if the questions have been asked already. If you really can't find the answer from a search, then post a thread about it. Also, there are already threads to introduce yourself, post where you are staying and when you are going. Starting a new thread for each new person is rather unnecessary. For all the regulars: Yes, we are all friends and care about what happens in each other's life but let's try not to start any threads for non Cancun related chitchats...at least for the next month or so. If we work together, I think we can keep all the important threads on the first page for the spring break high season.
