sept weather or not

hi we are considering coming to the royal cancun in 1st 2 weeks in sept. I have called various travel agents about hurricane season and a couple have advised us not to travel in sept or october .Can anyone give any advice for or against and if the royal cancun is really as good as they say.

We were in Cancun last year Sept 10-18th. the weather was wonderful. There was a hurricane that hit appriximately 4 hrs south of cancun. It only rained one day which only served to cool the place down a little. We used that day for shopping. We are going back to temptations sept9-18th this year so clearly that didn't put a damper on our spirits.

As to Royal Cancun, I haven't specifically stayed at that hotel but if you are looking for a fun/active place to stay you should check out temptations. There are fun and games all day poolside and themed events at night. We love it there
