Default Cancun Rugby Club

I've been asked to mention about a new Rugby club that has formed up in Cancun.

If anyone is interested in joining then more details can be found on their website:
Cancun Rugby Club, The Hammerheads.

Now, that's cool, Steve. Rugby's a great and manly game, fun to watch and, I'm sure, fun to play.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the info Steve.
I've been a Denver Harlequin since 1982.
Senior old boy now.
I hope I can catch a match in Nov.

Last fall they had an international tournament in Playa.
Our local teams put together a side.

Jimmy

Default Rugby in Cancun

Cancun Rugby Training is on Monday and Wednesday at 21:00 hrs on the Football field infront of Casa de La Cultura, the field that you can see from infront of Walmart on Av Labna.

We currently have almost 50 guys registered to the Team and 16 woman (we started a Ladies team 2 months ago). The Ladies actually played their first game in Puerto Morelos at the weekend and did really well.

The Club are also looking for Referees and Linesmen, there will be a course on Saturday 4th September for Level 1 IRB Rugby Referee for more info contact info@cancunrugbyclub.com (Male & Female).

There will be a Rugby 7's tournament with approx 25 teams from Mexico, UK, Canada, USA, Belize and Cuba on the 20th & 21st November 2010 and it's being held at the El Rey Polo Grounds in Puerto Morelos (I believe at this time).

In October 2010 Cancun Rugby Club will join the National League and be playing teams in the South East of Mexico, so Merida, Campeche, Playa del Carmen and Veracruz, with both home and away games.... the Future is looking Bright for the Club.

Saturday 4th September 2010 is the Cancun Rugby Club 1st Birthday Party, if you'd like to come and celebrate this with us it is being held at Chac Chi Marina, KM 3.2 in the Hotel Zone from 8pm until late. Open Bar and Food available ticket Price 400 pesos available through info@cancunrugbyclub.com

Will the program on the 4th include filmed highlights of the matches, so we'll know what we've been missing?
