Default Dentist Recommendations

Hi all! Anyone have any good dentist recommendations. The hubby is long overdue. We´ve seen a few but were not very impressed with services or prices. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Centro Medico del Sol on Ave la luna (a block past the oxxo on the same side heading towards ave kabah while on Ave la Luna), Either Dr. Armando Camacho or Dra. Rosaline Robledo (Armando is my regular dentist but due to an emergency & he being on vacations i visited the lady doc twice & she was also great).

The phone number is the same for both of them : 998 206 18 28 / 998 206 18 26

Hi. The American Smile Consultorio in SM 25 across from Market 28 is another option. We are American owned and operated and my husband, Dr. Myers, is licensed to practice in NY and the country of Mexico. He is our Endodontist and Dr. Mauricio Grassi is our General Dentist and Dr. Mark Shtern takes care of the oral surgery. Our prices are local prices and the patient care is always our primary concern. You can call the office at 887-4521 or 998 204-0415. Laura is the seretary and she can make an appointment for hubby. A cleaning, exam and x-rays would be a good start. Tell him we've had many cowards leave the office like Superman!

For some reason, I am having difficulty sending private messages. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to e-mail me at nancymyersmx@yahoo.com
To the person that sent the PM, a cleaning is $500 pesos, an exam is $500 pesos and if you decide to come into the office, we will include the price of the x-rays if you mention you are from CancunCare.
Sorry I couldn't answer your quesiton more personally...Nancy

I highly recommend Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry for any dental treatment in Cancun Mexico. If you look for a Dentist In Cancun then I believe this is your best option out there.

Hey Nancy,

To what extent do you recognize the Inapam card for your patients?

Do you accept US$ and if so, at what rate do you currently convert the normal peso charge?

Thanks,

Hi TJ...I am not familiar with the Inapam card. Can you tell me what it is? Yes we do take dollars. We exchange at 12 right now. Dr. Mauricio Grassi is our General Dentist and my husband is the Endodontist (root canal). The nice thing is, no more 4 hour trips to Merida for those that need Root Canal done. My husband's offfice is located in front of Mercardo 28 on Calle Nance! When he's not in Cancu, he's working in New York. He is now licensed in both countries (after 11 years! but whose counting!!)

The Inapam card is a government issued discount card for older folks in Mexico.. I think there is some sort of reimbursement through government channels if you're a business that accepts it, but you'd have to be setup with whatever government entity issues those cards first... it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have someone look into it so you can offer even greater discounts to those who hold the card. Of' course with all things government related I'd imagine there are some hopes to navigate to sign up with the program.

Also, I had a root canal a while back at American Smile and I can't recommend Dr. Myers enough... he definitely knows what he's doing

Thank you for that explanation Life. No TJ we aren't registered to accept this card. FYI, our prices are local prices and very inexpensive...less than half of what my husband charges for dental work in the States. We stand behind all of our work and have always had very happy patients, right Life?

I've had 2 root canals and crowns at American Smile and had a wonderful experience each time. Seriously....NO pain....none, nada, zilch...AND Dr. Myers is very entertaining. I was surprised that there was ZERO pain, quite honestly. I can't say enough nice things about the American Smile gang. And, the prices are about 1/2 of what I was charged for root canals and crowns in Colorado.

Default Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry on the news in Montreal

Hi, I am coming to Cancun in March. I have selected a few clinics to check out while I am there. American Smiles is on the list along with two others. When I was looking over the board duing my dental search I read the post about Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry. I thought I should let others know that they have been in the news (Global tv). I'ts not so good and I'm not sure If I would suggest it after I heard whats happened there. Maybe some have had a good experience but I myself wouldn't take a chance. Anyway cant wait to get back to the sun it's freezing here.
