Default Chocolate Pudding

I have looked everywhere for Chocolate Pudding (Jello Brand or My-T-Fine, or any other brand) but can not find any. Am I blind or is there no choc. pudding sold in sores in Cancun? I want the type that you can cook (it comes in a box and you add milk and cook it over the stove). And chocolate jello/gelatin is not a good substitution (I think it is the worst flavor they make). Any suggestions of where to find it?

Smile Chocolate pudding

I have to hit Waldbaum's or Stop and Shop before I leave for Cancun on Wednesday. I will let you know when I arrive and I will bring you 2 4-pack boxes of the My-T-Fine chocolate pudding. I know, for sure, they carry it here in NY...

Hmm, never looked for it in the box, but I buy chocolate pudding premade in the little yogurt like cups. In the dairy section, can't remember the brand but it might be Lala.

Wow Waldbaum's, I have not been in one in years. I grew up in Patchogue but moved away about 25 years ago. Thanks for helping out with this dilema. I also put it on my list for things to bring for the next time a family member or freind comes to visit. I hope it is not on the "banned from Customs" list.

I have lived here for 6 years and have NEVER seen it here. I know somethings you might see every now and then or even a single time (Golden Grahams cereal 1 box in 6 years) but I have never seen Jello instant pudding anywhere.

The two brands of premade chocolate pudding that I know are Lala Natilla and Danette by Danone. In Soriana they're near the gelatinas and arroz con leche. I think the "light" version is Silhouette.

Costo's Kirkland brand all white tuna packed in water does the trick for us so no need to bring it down anymore.

Thanks so much - Cancunmole.......I will def. go there ... I have been filling my suitcase with white tuna and it stinks when you go thru the x-ray machine at the airports...when the screeners see 8-10 solid cans..show up on the screen - they think it's some kinda bomb......

Thank you to a very thoughtful Cancuncare member who brought me some Chocolate Pudding. I cooked it with my son and he had a great time making it and also eating it.

On another note, is there any kosher salt to be found here?

I also saw some interesting items in the Superama on Bonampak. They have Herr's potato chips (a few different flavors), Tony Roma BBQ sauce and Rao's Homemade Tomato/Pasta sauces (alothough it is around $150 per jar). How is it that these items make it on the shelf, but there isn't any kosher salt? All of these restaurants can not be using table salt to season their food. The flavor of Kosher salt is so much better (coarse sea salt is a good alternative too).
