Including a salary would help elicit applications, and also weed out people with unrealistic expectations.

What is it about jobs in Cancun that they always advertise what you need to do, what skills you need to have, but never how much you'll be paid for doing it?

Very few want ads anywhere and in any language post anything more specific than "remuneration according to experience," or something similar and some don't even say that.

A range would be nice, and achieve the goals Steve spoke of without giving away too much information.

The job is now held by an American of unusual intelligence, poise, and people skills who is in her mid thirties.

I can understand why they dont want to list the amount, but what I miss in many ads here in Mexico are incentives.

I see a lot of "we need, we want" etc. but rarely ANY incentives.

Haha, except the time-share sales "GREAT $$$$!!!"

I don't, unless it's something to be embarrassed about.

I was involved in a lot of recruitment back in the day and advertised salary ranges were always something we thought long and hard about. Along with the job description and qualifications of course, salary range was a key factor in maximising the greatest number of quality applications. Get it wrong and we'd end up with a pile of junk or nothing at all.
