| I've been checking flights to the UK in October and have found BA direct to be a little cheaper than Continental which requires connection. Just thought I'd share in case any of you Brits are thinking about travelling then. It's good news as BA were always SO much more expensive.

| Are you sure that's with taxes included? We flew BA last week and at first the price seems good but once you follow it through to the checkout and all the taxes get added on it's not that cheap. 2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant came to $4300. Initial price per adult was shown as $450. |

| Yes it was with taxes included. I'll calculate the price again per person and let you know. I know it was 27,682.17 pesos with BA and $30,395.59 pesos with Continental. 1 adult and 1 child

| Virgin will start flying direct in June next year as well, so hopefully prices will come down quite a bit, crazy money to fly home for a family of four.

| Just did the BA flight to England and back - was really good compared to when I used to have to fly from here to Mexico City then across to LHR - so much easier without changing and quicker! I upgraded to the premium economy for only 180 quid more each - worth it I reckon - then on the way back the flight was quite empty so we could stretch out over the seats. According to BA the flight was full up to end of August, now it was pretty empty both ways - imagine if Virgin are doing the same route, all fighting for what will result in less than half a plane load of passengers - prices should be good for us! |

| Mat I also paid for the extra premium economy and then I got upgraded to business class! Bloody lovely .! BA direct always a good option and yes lets hope with more competition prices will fall. |

| Were you going backwards or forwards Tracey in business? I don't know if I could handle landing backwards... I had a look at Virgin and BA for July and virgin were 20 quid cheaper than BA, both out of LGW, so not much in price. The big difference was the flight times - Virgin leave London at 1pm which is better for me than the 9.50 am BA early start/M25 traffic! and leaving Cancun they go out at 19.50 so you get more of a night flight than the BA flight. So I reckon Virgin will be the way forward, although BA have always been good for me. |
