Perhaps you can get it fresh and bagged at Michel's, where they making rockin' bratwursts. On Labna, on the left about midway between Sam's and VIPs. Next to the Hospital for Lenses, the glasses repair shop. It would be worth a stop to check them out. A little hole in the wall type of place. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Thanks! I´m going to have to try one of those brats. I never knew about that place. I found jars of the stuff at Superama on Bonampak though. Which was a relief because we prepare it our own way. It´s a family tradition.

KT,
We bought a bunch of brats for a cookout last week. Before we got about 7 per kg. These were huge, about 5 1/2 per kg. I sliced mine in half, long ways and they fit nice on a torta style bun.

Hey Cancun Fun - Do want brats for Sat nite? I can handle them with a head count.

The saurkraut situation, ease of it, has improved drastically in the last year. It is sold in jars at Superama and can be found at Chedraui. I also think I have seen it at Mega near Walmart. Oh, and Superama also a Polish sausage with some chili in it. Imagine that! It's good. I made it with saurkraut for a Woman Cave Super Bowl viewing for two women house guest last game and saw it at Superama two weeks ago. No point any longer in being as saurkraut hoarder! It is one of my comfort foods.
