I know you've probably seen or heard of all kinds of problems with magicJack, but I've been using two in Cancun for 6 months without any problems. One of them I use off of my neighbor's infinitum wifi without any problems. Now, you can't be a total computer dummy to use this. Tried it before and it was terrible when calling the US on infinitum, bought a brand new expensive office phone and all we had was garbled noise, had to give up and try Skype, which until now has been very good for quality, just the dialpad keys don't work on certain phone systems until the 50th attempt which can get frustrating. My experience of MagicJack is avoid completely but I was on 2mb back then and now there is 20mb coming (or so i hear from Steve!)

Well, I'm borrowing my neighbors infinitum wifi and have had no problems in more than 6 months.

I also have a friend who uses one on cablemas and no problem there , either.


Just sayin'.

works great with cablemas (getting 5MIPS down now. They have the new no-computer-required model out now too.
