Blueway Car Rental

We rented a car from this agency for our trip to Isla Holbox, but I wouldn't choose them again. Every step of the process gave me an uneasy feeling, including the last, where the inspection revealed several microscopic chips that had not been noted at checkout. (The car was old, and the total number of items of "damage" noted at checkout could easily have been as many as 30, making it easy to assume, as I did, that everything had been noted.)

They insisted that I take insurance which doubled the daily rate over that which was quoted on their webpage.

I looked for comments on this agency, after the fact, and it appears others have not been so lucky, dealing with them, as I appear to have been.

My experience with Blueway is the same. The only thing you left out is the exchange rate they use when they charge your credit card.

Well, Executive isn't much better. They just hit us with 14.75 to 1 yesterday and are every bit as thorough examining the car.

pretty timely for me as I'm heading down there next week...after digging around on this forum I found some people had some luck with this company....anyone else have luck with them or another recommendation - thanks in advance.
