Default borat the movie
So far Borat the kashakani sensation has not arrived in Cancun (as far as I can tell)

Would anyone be up for the movie and some beers if/when it arrives?

That looks like a fun movie! I'd be up for seeing that one.

We saw Babel last weekend and really liked it. Brad Pitt can actually act! I was surprised. And he looks old in it.

I don't get excited about many movies but Borat is at the top of my must see list! Someone nudge me when it gets here, I don't get out of the house very often, I never know what's at the theaters.

Can't wait for Borat - my daughter has seen it inthe Uk and she said it was toatlly non PC and she felt guilty for laughing so much but her face ached after the show.

i saw it last week and can i be the one to say dont waste your money :-|

dont get me wrong i wasnt offended by it, i just didnt find it funny and it was a waste of money

but thats just one girls opinion

i know i didnt get it. people were laughing so hard in the theatre and the person i was with and i just kinda looked at each other and went :?

dont get me wrong it had a few chuckles but i'd say that was it. maybe i dont find the way it was filmed that funny. and its not cause its highly offensive, cause i loved clerks and clerks two and there isnt a person that couldnt be offened at that. i guess theres just a right way and a wrong way to do it :-|

Where I went to see it, nobody was laughing and a few people walked out. I didn't take offense either. I guess I just didn't find the humour.

The MM Cinema in Paseo Cancun is brand new, and the seats are every bit as comfortable as the VIP and there are no lines and the prices are way lower and it's a way more pleasant mall to have to put up with. I'm at the point with Las Americas that you practically have to pay me to go there, it's just so packed all the time and doesn't even have a Starbuck's...

Oh Dear God! Kimberly I hope you are kidding about Starbucks.
I went to the Movies at The VIP last week and it was great no lines comfy and no problem parking. We went on the 27th .

I like Starbuck's but that's not a reason to go to a certain movie theater. However I do think that Plaza Las Americas is a serious drag. It's always packed in there and parking ALWAYS sucks. Maybe it's my claustrophobia but I hate being in a narrow space with a million people.

Paseo Cancun, as a mall, is about 600 times more pleasant for me to contemplate going to, the passage is wider and it's not closed in. As for movie theaters VIP is nice but imho the new MMCinemas are just as nice, nicer if you count the better parking, more open mall, cheaper prices etc.

Regardless of where we see it I just checked both sites and I don't see any evidence that it's coming this weekend. Here are the sites:
