Thanks Drew, my life wasn't already interesting enough, or stressful enough.

I have been following this on the Florida Hurricane website today. Am worried I may be becoming a tad too obsessed.

Tracey, you're not the only one! I think we all check in with the NHC during the season, just to be on top of things. Not necessarily obsessive, just "prepared". So, do we have another hurricane drill party in the works?

On stand by here Steve and Kim, hoping not to have to get back on the horse so soon though!

I check the NHC site every couple of days during hurricane season. And when a tropical storm develops I check it several times a day.

Kim - lighten up and have some tequila. Maybe you can model the new fall line.

TJ - My middle name is Lighten Up, and my other middle name is Uptight B#%ch.

Checking the NHC site's graphical tropical outlook I see that area number 1 is "slowly becoming better organized" and could become a tropical depression tomorrow. Here we go again...

Tropical Depression number 6 is likely to have a public advisory on it at 5pm. It will be called Felix.

Estimate puts it as a hurricane slamming central Belize.

Early days yet though, of course. We're still in the error cone.

I say no goosebumps until we've got more than a 50-50 chance of being hit here.

Yeah. That ramped up quick! I hate to think how strong it'll be before it whacks Belize. Might out-do Wilma. :O

Now Cat 5. Yikes.

Dean didn't take lives in QRoo because the Mexican Army had the resources to move everyone to safe shelters.

Belize just doesn't have the resources to do that. The country's all but broke. If it hits Belize City it could be very messy. It could destroy the entire city, house wise.
