Is this day as insane in Cancun as Canada?

This day built up & up & up - till I was ready to burst, then this monster day came and we survived the big-family visits - and now it's over. Is it as crazy there in Cancun up to and including the 25th?

Well, the 25th is the REAL holiday in many ways. Not becaue it is the legal holiday so much as that most, if not all of the celebrations and celebrating are on the 24th so the 25th is anti-climatic and quite peaceful. The streets were empty most of the day since many had partied right into the 25th and many businesses and restaurants in town open late if at all. All in all a peaceful day--the 25th. Before that--the same craziness pretty much as elsewhere.
