| Steve, I tried to upload from my computer and got the Upload failed message. Uploaded from Community Webshots and it appears when I view my profile but not on my posts. Neither photo exceeds the maximum size by either of the two criteria. Thanks, T.J.

| I *think* what happened is you added it as your profile pic rather than avatar, apparently they are different I'm learning this out too.I will look into testing uploads from your own computer when I get a minute, although I know that's how I uploaded mine. |

| Thanks Steve, you were right. My avatar now appears on my posts. OTHER USERS: Start by clicking on User CP in the top left hand corner. To display a Profile Picture, drop down to the first section, Edit Profile and the last option is Edit Profile Picture and it is self explanatory after that. To display an Avatar on your posts, drop down to the third section, Settings and Options and the first option is Edit Avatar. You can figure it out from there. Good luck,

| Steve, First of all. I am a computer idiot I am finding out. Second, how do you suggest that I shrink a photo to 120 x 120 or less than 19 kb to use as an avatar. I have worked on this for about an hour and am about ready to just bag the whole process! Frustrated! ![]() ![]() |

| Try and upload it anyway I think the software will resize it appropriately. It wont necessarily make the best job of it though. It would be best to use an image editing software to crop the pic and change it's dimensions. Something like http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php is free and does the job. Or you can just send it to me via email to steve@cancuncare.com with a note of your username. I've got enough things done to be able to have time for avatar help now. |

| Interestingly enough it shows up now even though it says it fails. I have no idea how since I just walked away from the computer earlier after emailing you. Sorry, I didn't mean quit the site when I said that earlier, what I meant was quit trying with the avatar process. Thanks for your timely response.... Quote:

| J4. I don't know if you download your photos to your computer or not. If you do, when you open say your "Weekend with TJ" file to look at the photos, they will either be Viewed by file names, small logos, medium logos or whatever. But when you click on an individual photo, to see it full screen, you should see an Edit Photo, or maybe even Open With, which you would drop down to some program that probably came with your computer. Then either open the photo with one of these programs, or click on Edit Photo, depending on your choices. It should be pretty simple (famous last words) to change the size. Just take your time and take it step by step. Here is where you don't want to screw up. Obviously you don't want to reduce your file photos to the size of postage stamps, so when the edit is done go to Save As and save the edited photo to a different name, like CC Avatar. Then if you go to close the whole file of the Weekend with TJ photos, just click the X in the top right corner. It will ask you if you want to save changes, and the answer is NO. Otherwise your big old screen filling shot becomes the postage stamp size. Hope this helps.

| Thanks for the help T.J. I evidently knew how to do it even though I didn't know that I knew how to do it (Smile) Thanks for taking the time to reply though! |
